Clunking/vibration/squeling noise under the front end

Today out of no where my car start making this rattling clunk sound on my way to town.(Its not consistent at all) Then on the way back after clunkin, it suddenly went VVVVVVVVVV (intense vibration). Not quite a wobbly vibration, but a tight vibration. My brake light came on. then went of when i slammed the brakes hard out of frustration.

Then 10 min. later on the way home after stopping and having a friend follow me home, the ABS light came on and stayed on. It continued to clunked and rattled. If i got to a high enough speed (25) it would go a way a lil but only to return. Then suddenly half way 3/4 way home it turned into a harsh squeel like an small animal getting kill. Then it toned down some and kept a squeel with an occasional clunk. and the abs light is still on.

I have no idea what it is. all these sound come from the front end area by like the cv joints or tires

Clunking noise when turning steering wheel going slow around corner

A lot of these Chrysler Town and Country vans had issues with the front stabilizer bar end links, usually you wont feel them move if you try to move them by hand, but they will make an awful noise clunk noise when turning or going over bumps slowly, i would suggest replacing the end links and that should take car of your clunking issue. Also the front lower control arm bushings separate as well and can cause this noise as well.... but i would replace the end links as a first step and go from there.... Hope this helps..

2001 Tarus clunking sound

very common problem is the sway bay end links that attach to the strut from the sway bar. They sound like a light chuckling knock over bumps. The bushings that hold the subframe up wear or the bolts loosed due to the bushings wearing. usually the rear ones The bushings are 2 piece ,upper and lower Tighten with 18mm socket
