2000 LINCOLN LS FAILED SMOG TEST

My 2000 Lincoln ls failed the smog emissions test and I was given three codes P0171 P0174 and P0775. I think the first two are due to a loose hose but I am at a loss for the last one. Is it a bad sensor possibly and where do I find these sensors and how can I check to see if they are bad? Thank you

171 and 174 indicate a lean condition. Your car is commanding additional fuel over the normal amounts and its still not enough and it set codes to tell you it happend on both sides of the engine at once. This can be caused by dirty sensors, old or worn components, plugged fuel filter, dirty injectors...a multitude of things. I could guess, but that gets expensive since I dont have scandata or know what conditions the code set under, and what are the fuel trims under various test modes for comparison. Proper procedure is to scan onboard computer and determine part from collected data. the 775 code is a transmission code.

SOURCE: my 2004 lincoln ls is mission i failed my emission

I assume you mean MISSING, as in MISFIRING? That means your vehicle has 1 or more cylinders not correctly firing and using the gasoline to produce power. Likely this is accompanied by reduced power and mileage, shaking at idle or under acceleration, and a check engine light on solid or perhaps even flashing while you drive.
You need to have it fixed by someone who can diagnose the problem properly. I can tell you coils are a pattern failure, or injector harnesses corrode from water intrusion, or that the valve covers on those tend to leak causing arcing to the oil...but none of that matters to your CAR. whichecver of those, or something else...is causing the misfire is what you should fix. the cheapest, fastest, best way to find that is pay a qualified technician to scan for trouble codes and diagnose the results provided by those codes. Silver bullets and pattern fails can save a technician tyme or money, but if you can even provide code data or datastream analysis...the likelihood of wasting significant money with pattern guesses increases exponentially. Most shops will do a misfire diagnosis for a 1 hour labor fee, some include more extensive prove-outs and verification tests and charge 2 hours. Hope it helps.

I have 2004 lincoln Ls problems with codes p0171 p0174 p430 p2195 p2197

You did not state the symptoms you're getting(problems) . The lean codes are usually caused by either a bad vacuum leak or the Coils going bad, causing a miss.

What might cause codes p0325 , p0304 to turn my check engine light on during smog test on my1998 Nissan Altima 2.4L No kicking No noise except the drive belt which just started after smog test

This is common in the Nissan's could be the cam and crank sensor these go at around 70000 to 120000 should do both at once to be safe. that will fail an emissions test for sure. hope this helps

Battery was disconntected to replace a connector now computer is 'not ready' and failed emissions test. driven it over 600 miles since then. Tried to follow steps to complete a 'drive...

Do you have a service engine light on or does the smog station tell you that the monitors are set?
A drive cycle won't clear a service engine light if the reason for it was not fixed. Normally a drive cycle or a 25 or so mile drive will be enough for the PCM to run through its test, and if all is well, clear the monitors.
Now some shop scanners and code readers can clear the monitors. Actron is one of the code readers that I know of that will clear monitors (the newer models. older ones did not). They are about $75 for the basic code reader and may be a worthwhile investment for the do it yourselfer.
Auto Zones also have code readers and if theirs is capable may do it for you. Though if you're in California I have heard they don't do that any longer due to people getting codes cleared just before a smog test without fixing the issue first.

My 2000 Lincoln town car has been diagnosed as requiring 02 sensor replacement. Car has 220,000 kilometres on it. Can I continue to drive without replacing the sensor?

Yes you can still drive it. However your gas mileage will drop . Also it wont pass the smog/ emissions test if your state requires one.
