I went to a transmission shop for a diagnostic. They said that I have to replace the speed sensor. I buy and install the sensor but the problem persist. I dont know what to do so, thats why I am asking you for help.
If the guage section of the instrument panel is not getting a solid connection to 12V power, then this will happen. I had a similar experience with a shorted connection that caused the fuse to blow that supplied power to the speedometer. When power was restored to the speedo, it read normally.
The dash lights are on a separate circuit, so they will continue to light up even if speedo power is bad.
Accessing the guage cluster is extremely easy on thes cars. You can quickly pull it out to re-seat the electrical connections. Should you find that you need a new cluster, I believe that the odometer readings are stored in the cluster and will cause your odometer to be wrong.
