Check engine light flashing won't start

SOURCE: 2004 Chrsyler Pacifica Won't Start

2 possible problem come to mind:

• Bad ignition switch; faulty switch will occasionally make contact but not every time
• Bad starter; less likely but possible; a bad starter will function when it's cold but when it heats up, takes much more power to make it work

SOURCE: When trying to start the

MAKE BATTERY CABLES AND BATTERY POST CLEAN FREE FROM CORROSSION. CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE SHOULD BE 12.6 VOLTS. IF BATTERY WEAK INSIDE LIGHTS AND RADIO WILL COME ON.BUT IF BATTERY VOLTS BELOW 10 VOLTS THATS NOT ENOUGH POWER TO CONTROL STARTER SOLENOID HOLD IN COIL OR PULL IN COIL CAUSING CLICKING NOISE. IF BATTERY VOLTS IS 12.6 VOLTS STARTER SOLENOID OR STARTER MORE LIKELY FAULTY.BEFORE MAKING THE REPAIR TURN OFF RADIO FIRST BEFORE DISCONNECTING NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE TO KEEP FROM LOCKING OUT RADIO PLAYING CODE.YOU CAN REMOVE STARTER TAKE TO ANY AUTO PARTS STORES THEY WILL CHECK ALTERNATOR FOR FREE.

SOURCE: 2006 pacifica stalled out while driving. Now it won't even try to start. Check engine light came on.

A good read. That car is only 6 years old... I would say bye bye to Chrysler forever.

Connect a jumper cable from negative on the battery and the other end to the engine block. If it starts look for a broken ground wire under air cleaner box from engine to motor mount or directly in the center front of the engine. The ground in front has a wire attached to it.

sounds like an electrical prob. check for corroded battery cables
