NEED TO DO BACK BRACKS ON 1991 D0DGE DAKOTA IN THE REAR

hi,if it has drum bracks it could be brack dust inside the drum,if its disk bracks they might need copper- slick put on the brack pades,on the side that faces the brack-caliper.

Your truck has rims that are too wide. You might want to go down an inch or back to stock rims.

The standard gear ratio for a '91 Dakota with the 318 V-8 was the 3.55 ring and pinon. The 3.90 or the 3.21, or the 2.76 could be ordered as an option. However the most of the Dakotas, either the V-6 or the V-8 were ordered with the 3.55 non-locking rear axles. Also your truck may have had either the 7.25" rear end, having a differential cover that is shaped ( 8 sides) like a "stop sign". Most likely will have the 8.25" rear end, having a "more rounded" differential cover. With your truck being a 318 V-8 the 8.25" rear end was more common. Hope that helps.

No, the transmissions are probably a different length.

Sounds like either a linkage rod came off or the interior handle is broken. either way you have to take the interrior door panal off to see which it is.

No this trans would not fit as it has the wrong output shaft for the transfer case.

in the left frame (drivers side) rail about half way back from the driver to the fuel tank.
