If the check engine light does not light up, on the dash, when you turn on the ignition, then the ecu is almost certainly in need of repair. A bad ecu will not allow power to the fuel pump or coil. Repair service for the ecu or a replacement is usually available on ebay.

What turns on fuel pump and injection . I have power new pump new computer will fire on starting fluid

Hi Bill:
- If it fires on starter fluid you have spark.
- The fuel pump is turned on when you turn on the key. Check for fuel pressure.
- The injectors are triggered by the cps.
I'd suggest that you have codes checked as next step.

No fire 2 fuel pump on 2002 suburban

Have you checked the fuel pump relay yet ?
It should have power for three seconds when you turn the key switch on, then power after the engine starts.

Turns over and won't start, replaced fuel filter and just turns over and almost fires

Almost fires? Do you mean it does fire some, that you know the plugs are getting spark? If so, then you probably need to have your fuel pressure tested to see if pump is working properly. Can you hear the pump buzz on briefly when you turn key to on? It should come on for a couple of seconds to pressurize the lines. If you don't hear it, then your pump may be bad, or something not turning pump on. Good luck.

The dash gauges all work , fuel pumps are both good , the fuel pumps wont come on and the truck trys to fire when i turn the ignition on but wont , could this be a fuel regulator

did you check the fuel pressure pump on the frame rail for power and ground? have you verified no ignition spark to the spark plugs? have you checked for fire from the coil to the distributor cap? does the check engine light come on when you turn the key on? have you check for injector pulse and power at the fuel injectors? if the fuel pump won't come on and you have no ignition fire and no injector pulse, all of these systems are triggered by the ECM.

Turns over, doesn't fire. No gradual problem, just didn't start this morning. No fuel to fuel filter, wondered where the fuel pump relay is, is there a fuel pump fuse, and where is the ground wire f

Yes it has a fuel pump relay. It's located somewhere in your Main Fuse box.It can be found under the hood near the Fiewall or the front end of the vehicle.

Doesn't get fire since replacing fuel pump.

Normally after replacement of the fuel pump you need to get the fuel flowing back through the system again. To do this, turn the ignition key until you hear the fuel pump kick in for a few seconds, then turn key back to off. Repeat this several times to get the fuel flowing. If this doesn't help, you will need to ensure that the fuel pump is actually coming on. Let me know
