Error Code: P0325
Description:
Knock Sensor (KS) 1 Bank 1 - Circuit Malfunction
Possible Cause:
Irregular rpm.
Drivability problems.
Loss of power.
Engine damage.
Wiring.
Poor connection, short to earth, short to positive, open circuit.
Knock sensor improperly torqued.
Knock sensor.
Engine control module (ECM).
Possible Solutions:
Torque Knock Sensor 1 to specifications.
Check the resistance of the knock sensor (compare it to factory specs).
Check for broken/frayed wires leading to the sensor.
Replace the knock sensor.
Check Knock Sensor 1 and Knock Control.
Caution:
This feature search for unusual (spontaneous) combustion. The sensor detects unusual vibrations and based on that it generates a voltage. Is this voltage outside a certain limit a DTC will be set.

Sounds like you need gearbox oil (transmission oil in USA) .... check your levels and top it up.

They had a problem with this plastic washer that is in the shifter tower it sits just under the shifter it self and gets worn out and causes this to happen- hope that helps.

There is a Bulletin on this concern, and it is a warrantable condition for 8 years or 80,000 miles so you are still covered by the factory warranty.
The problem is a logic issue in the PCM. The correction is a new PCM with updated software.

Some 2005 - 2007 model year Corolla and Matrix vehicles equipped with
an automatic transaxle may exhibit a harsh shift condition and a M.l.L.
ON" with DTC P2716 stored.
Improvements have been made to the Engine Control Module (ECM) (SAE term:
Powertrain Control Module/PCM) to reduce the possibility of this condition occurring.

This repair is covered under the Toyota Federal Emissions Warranty.

To play it safe have the TPS checked out by another repair shop .If they say its ok then its the shift solenoids.
