i have removed the heater valve from one bolt my jag i removed the under shield to get at one of the two fixings ( one bolt and one nut) remove the plug ,remove the five pipe clips ,if you remove the top rad hose you can remove the valve through the top with a little fiddling i dismantled my valve each valve is made of plastic and rubber as you will see if you take it apart i think the fault with these valves is that the rubber over time and heat swells up and closes the valve both my valves were closed i removed the small cir-clip from the bottom of valve took off the brass valve removed the bottom rubber and i counter sank the rubber to get about 1/16 inch of play i did this with both valves and i now have heat the jag dealer said they change hundreds of these valves so there must be a design fault

Where is the heater control valve sensor located on a 2005 jaguar s-type

the heater control valve or dual control is controlled by the climate control module, what is the problem? the common issues are no cooling which is normally the dual control valve defaulted to open because of corroded/open circuit wiring to the valve,

Very little heat from heater in my stype v8 1999

Probably nothing to do with the thermostat; keep in mind that the heater control valve is a electric solenoid and something is wrong here either no power to solenoid or the solenoid valve has stuck inside the housing. If the car is running fine and reaching normal operating temperature, then it's likely to be the heater valve which isn't opening correctly.

Hope this helps (remember to rate and comment this answerr).

My heater is not blowing hot air, i have a jaguar s type

look under the hood to be sure the heater lines are ok and hooked up also look for a shut off valve - some people shut off the heater core for the summer -
also check all fuses if it is not blowing or is an all electric control on the dash -

Jaguar 1999 s-type 3.0 V6 heater problem. The heater is blowing cold unless the engine rev's are held above 1500, any idea's about what the cause could be?

you either have a restriction in the cooling system like maybe a restricted heater core or the water pump impellers are corroded and no blades are left. Only way to tell is to remove the water pump and inspect then replace it since its off.
Or remove the heater core hoses and blow thru.
If anyone ever put a stop leak in the radiator this can cause blocked lines.

Cold air

Sounds like its the blend door actuator has failed or loose or cracked vacuum line going to it. These are usually not fun to replace although I dont know about your specific model, but most that I have seen you have to remove the dash.

Heater valve

It takes roughly 2 1/2 to 3 hours to replace the heater valve, it is a pain to get access to the 5 heater hose clamps. A good mechanic can replace is in 1 1/2 to 2 hours but a shop is still going to charge you the 2 1/2 to 3
