Rear wiper blade disconnected...how do we fix?

My daughter was manually rotating the rear wiper blade on my 2010 Odyssey and now the blade does not move with the motor. It just drops down when I turn on the rear wiper. Anyone know if this is an easy fix?

Have to remove the wiper arm & see if the splines are
damaged & if the motor works as it should
There are no easy vehicle fixes
You have to understand how something works & then
diagnose why it doesn't & make the repair
If you get lucky she only ruined the wiper arm &
not the motor or it's drive spline.

no you would have to pull the motor to make sure its working but it sounds like what you may be hearing is like a humming sound where its trying to work but not.

You are probably correct in thinking its the wiper motor. You can do this but you will need to remove all the interior trim from the rear hatch first. Get a trim clip removal tool at a parts store...it will work much better than just a flat blade screwdriver. You'll have to remove the trim panels starting in order from the top of the door, then the left rear window side trim, then right rear window side trim, then the grab handle, and finally the main rear hatch trim panel. Once inside, removing and replacing the rear wiper motor is easy. You'll start by lifting the cover on the wiper arm retention nut. Remove this nut to get the wiper arm off, then remove the nut under neath which is the motor shaft mounting nut. Now, back inside to remove the other 3 motor mounting bolts. Don't forget to disconnect the connector for the motor wires. Reverse steps to replace.

1. Open Hood.
2. Remove wiper arms by removing cap nuts. they are a tight fit . there is a puller for this.
3 Remove cowel cover . once cover is off you will see the wiper motor and transmission assy. Possibly a snap joint wore out oa nut holding motor drive arm in place loosened up.

The nut is concealed under a cover so you need to pry that up before you can loosen the nut and adjust the arm.

To replace rear wiper blade on nissan note 2010

Read the manual for my 2010 Note and it says to remove the old one simply rotate the wiper blade anti-clockwise until it comes free. I've done this and it feels like you're going to break it but it just comes free! then to fit the new one simply reverse the rotation. Simples.

The rear windshield wiper on my 1997 Ford Explorer does not work at all. I removed the wiper blade and then turned on the rear wiper switch to see if the wiper mechanism would rotate and it did not rotate....

If you can detect the wiper motor running but it doesn't rotate, you need a new wiper/motor assembly. A rebuilt unit is $75 and a new unit is $125 at rockauto.com

Odyssey Rear Wiper upside down

The rear wiper should be able to come off from the rear. What do uyou mean "upside down?" at the pivot end there should be a nut, take it loose and adjust the arm.
