I have recently replaced the front bumper on my 2005 Aveo, after hitting a deer. The good thing to know, is directly connected to the bumper, there is NO sensor to worry about tripping the airbags. There are what seems like a million Teflon screws, that must come out to remove, and replace the bumper. The turn signals, and fog lights(if equipped) must come out first. All electrical connections, like the headlights, turn signals, and fog lights, must be disconnected, or you can't access the bolts, and screws near them. It's actually very easy to remove and install the bumper after the electrical connections are dealt with. Do not worry about the plastic clips located under the hood for removal. They are cheap and easy to replace. Here are some pics that might help you.
Front bumper front and back.
What your describing as bumper is the cowl over the actual bumper. The actual bumper will have sensitive air bag sensors. Before doing anything disconnect negative cable from battery. The bumper shroud or cowl should be in 2 pieces, the bottom piece removal should provide enough access. Usually held together with philips screws.
Its all attached by clips and screws.Nothing much special. But its all about the procedure.Dont forget the mark the position , location of the screws you remove, so while refitting you don't face any problemTo replace fog light bulb or to replace replace complete fog light unit, click this link below:---

This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
you need a haynes repair manual look in the body chapter.reason you need a repair manual because you need to see how remove front portion of fender well liner to under the front bumper fascia to remove fog lights.manual will keep you from damaging your car.
you replace the fog lamps by going under front bumper fascia.remove the pushpins and take down the splash shield to access the back of the fog lamps.then you remove two bolts retaining the fog lamp to the back of front bumper.besure to wear clean gloves.because fog lamps is halogen bulbs.if you touch with bare hands the oils from hands will make the bulbs over heat and blow out.
no, just remove under covers to gain acess to rear of lamp ,this is where you can replace the bulb no need to remove bumper, thats just crazy anyway hope this helps good luck.
Look up into the bumper and see if you can access the fog light. The bulb should just twist out of the back. If not, the assembly should either pop forward or back to come out. I've heard though, that many santa fe's require the removal of the entire front bumper fascia just to get to the bulbs in which case you'd have to remove your headlights to get to the screws holding the bumper fascia on
To replace the fog light of the passenger side you need to remove the fog light bolt and pull out the fog light assembly, then you can remove the bulb and put a new one in.
To replace the fog light on the driver side you will need to remove the front bumper cover so you can remove the vacuum box that is in the the way of the fog light bolt.
To do so you need to remove the Torx (star) screws located in the front wheel wells as well as the bolts holding the plastic by the radiator. "CAUTION: DO NOT UNBOLT THE RADIATOR."
If any of the screws are rusted into place put some penetrating oil them to help loosen them up.
if you look directly under the bumper just under the fog light you will see a bracket that holds a 13 mm bolt. undo that and pop the light out from the front of the bumper and replace the bulb. install is the reverse
