Started 2 days ago, car would turn over and not start. Later in the day car started as if nothing was wrong, then a couple hours later, wouldn't start. Did some tests and the fuel pump does go on. Replaced the crankshaft sensor. Now the car starts right up, but today it stopped running on the freeway. I was able to start it right up again. It also died at a stop light. Again, I was able to start it right up. Any suggestions on where to begin looking for the problem?

Go to the dealer and have them check the hood pin switch pad, there is a updated part that is longer to make better contact with the hood pin switch. Also, check the trunk lid stricker to make sure it is not bent, that has got me a couple of times.

The vehicle speed sensor is probably faulty. Have it checked. it's mounted on the side of the tranny.

It might have something to do with your mass/air sensor located on the intake tube. Try cleaning the mass air sensor with the appropriate cleaner and also try cleaning the throttle body with carb cleaner.

the check engine light does not come on.
we will inspect the coil pack
Funny thing, after diagnosing for days..... gas was running a little low, light came on in our head, could it be bad gas? Put new gas in, and have not had a problem since. Knock on wood.
