SOURCE: audi a3 1.8t dump valve fitting

A dump valve replaces the recirc valve. Did you see the reply to your prior post on this topic that I put up the other day? You can do it but it'll cost you your catalytic converter and O2 sensors - that has been proven out many times in the past. If you don't care about that and don't mind spending $1200-1500 every year or 18 months to replace those parts, then go to www.audiworld.com or www.audidiy.com and look in the tech areas - there are step by step procedures there that walk you through recirc valve replacment. They'll show you how to fit an aftermarket recirc valve, but you can follow that procedure to do a BOV as well.

Seriously though, as I said before, some cars are fine with BOVs but Audis are not. You're going to cost yourself a LOT of money just for the sneeze sound and slightly slower turbo spool. Your car and money though so it's your decision.

How do I locate the sensor on a 2003 A4 1.8L? I see a blue sensor on the right by the firewall, and a green sensor on the left nearer to the battery on the left. Is it possible that I already have a green sensor in my car?

This will require factory VAG software to complete. Local repair facility may be able to help if not then you will have to go to the dealer.

SOURCE: power steering light has come on,on dash and

Have you verified that the power steering fluid is at the right level? If it isn't, you need to fill it to the proper level using specific Audi power steering fluid (it's a mineral-oil-like fluid, NOT the stuff you buy at the parts store). If you've run the reservoir dry and kept driving, it's likely you've burned out the pump and will have to replace it.

Where can I find temperature sensor on 2005 Audi A3 2.0

ECT? engine coolant sensor? or what? cars have ambient sensor too for HVAC, try telling problem first so help can be on same page,(not zero context)

in the service manual
or at audi on line parts page, see the part sold there and the diagram of location.

what country?
the books are by all above and country
tell country and books open to the correct page
or tell VIN that does the same thing
this
2.0 Turbo-FSI

2.0 L I4 FSI
2.0 L I4 TFSI
2.0 L I4 TDI

what engine is there matters learn to use real audio engine names, and then read the manual on that chapter your exact engine./ 12 engines used this GEN 3.
audi has like 100 engine codes
2.0L code can be code 100

the list is over whelming

https://www.proxyparts.com/wiki/engine-codes/make/audi/model/a3/

learn what code it is or learn to post VIN
the vin 8th digit is engine code.
I answered only for ECT, sensor, but not told you.

My Audi A3 2.0 fsi sline Quattro is struggling to find gears ( very stiff to change and impossible to find reverse with the engine running)

First check the fluid level and make sure it is correct. If it's good you will then need to go to the dealership to have the codes pulled. I hope the problem is the fluid because it will be expensive otherwise.

04 Plate Audi A3 2.0 FSI Electrical fault

Check both ends of battery's earth lead.
Remove, clean all surfaces with emery/sand paper, replace and seal with grease or vasaline.
If this is not the fault - it worth doing and eliminates something.
Hope this helps.

The epc light comes on the odd time, in my 2004 audi a3. I cannot find the manual. I am interested in knowing what it means?

I am having the same problem on my Audi A4 2004 FSI, lose power whilst driving at speed with the EPC light coming on. Looks like a design fault of some kind with Audi petrol engins, have read a few forums about this but no clear straight answer. Check the link below:

Have 2004 audi 2.0 fsi main fan keeps coming on when moving.

because of the shape of the car and temperature within the under bonnet,audi/ vw use the electric fan to maintain a closer tolerance of engine temperature.for maximum economy.so your main fan will come on more often than perhaps an older car that you may have owned.as changing the thermostat has shown no change.
