My water pump died and needed to be changed, mi removed the pump, however, before removing the water pump, I removed the distributor completely then followed the pump. I them reassembled everything back and to my amazement the car sparked (Paaaa!)I tried again and there was no kick for the engine to run.
SOURCE: Broke my map sensor car wont stay running
Hey replace that sensor you shouldn't try to run it with out manifold air pressure is vital to eng.wan"t rid off engine light?? disconnect battery while installing your """COMPUTERIZED""" part that way when you reconnect battery just like at home PC when you install up dates you must restart your computer in order for it to recognize any up-dates such as ""MAP SENSOR""" but if you do not replace it and disconnect battery and wait a couple of means it will come rite back on!happy new year,Happy new year,John Ontario Dodge dealership tech! this made my coffee break bright !!

To avoid confusion, remove and tag the spark plug wires one at a time, for replacement.
If a distributor is not keyed for installation with only one orientation, it could have been removed previously and rewired. The resultant wiring would hold the correct firing order, but could change the relative placement of the plug towers in relation to the engine. For this reason it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them. Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying illustrations. If the current wiring does not match, make notes to reflect how your engine is wired.
