The front wheels of my 96 explorer seemed to look as if the were bending outward' like the car was being compressed from the top, when viewing the car from the front. The tires were wearing out on the inside tread. Soooo, I rotated the front tires to the back and put the back tires on the front and got a alignment. Now when looking at the front of the car head on, it appears that one wheel, no matter how I straighten the wheel is angled pointed outward. I can't figure this one out?

An aligmnment check will only get u an answer on what the problem is, if anything is bent/damaged, they can not align the front end with damaged parts, don't drive this car until u find out what is wrong.

Hard to tell here without seeing some kinda specs from your alignments. There were some issues on rear tire wear on these. It was mainly inner wear on rear tires and the rear camber specs were beyond the negative end of the specifications(max -2.3). They had a revised +1.0 degree upper control arm to address that. If you are not feeling any rebound in the travel you could have a worn or damaged strut, with this many miles that is certainly a possibility.

If you have run out of adjustment, perhaps you should consider replacing the bars. Essentially they are just a different kind of spring and over time they do loose tension. Obviously something is affecting your alignment or the tires would not wear!
What I fail to understand is that a shop can tell you it's not mis-aligned if the wheels have an obvious camber problem??!! Has anyone put it on an alignment machine?

You should have the twin arm suspension. there's just a few things to check. inspect the pivot bushings on your lower torsion rods(from the axle back to the frame), check the upper and lower ball-joints. and last check the wheel bearings.

Same problem , yes slight tilt to top. Replaced strut. Still looks tilted..
