Fault codes key will not turn when put in the ignition

P1613 = NATS Malfunction.
This is a problem with your Anti-Theft system.
Try this reset method. You will need to turn the ignition key to the second position but don't start the engine, (Ignition ON).
1. Turn the ignition key to the ON position for 5 seconds then turn it all the way OFF.
2. Turn the ignition key to the ON position again for 5 seconds then turn it all the way OFF again.
3. Turn the ignition key to the ON position again for a 3rd time for 5 seconds, then turn it all the way OFF again.
This should reset the Anti theft system. If it does Not reset you will need to get an Auto Electrician to look at your vehicle. He will have the tools to find out exactly where the fault is.

Fault Code 53 - Control module immobilizer, this could be that the immobilizer is not turning on or off, could be you have lost the chip in the key or the fob has become unsynced from the vehicle this can happen when the battery fails or has been replaced. usually put key in ignition and turn to number 2 and press the fob 2 times or 3 to unlock and lock the doors, then the it should be resynced.

Yes you need to have a dealer test the system for fault codes.

who told you to do all that ? just get the OBD codes read and reset any codes that are present and take it from there

No ---by leaving the key in the "on/run" position you have effectively left the ignition on and that has flattened the battery and possibly burnt out the coil/s and ignition module. Have the battery recharged and reset the CPU using a code reader and go from there . If you have no spark run the fault codes and if it says coil/s and or ignition module then you know what has happened

You first have to retrieve fault codes from your computer network then you have to diagnose the systems/circuits indicated by the fault codes to determine what the cause of the failure is, then you must repair the system/circuit at fault and then reset the computer system. If the dealer cannot do this, I don't know who can. Did they tell you what fault codes they were getting? If so, we can look up the troubleshooting charts for those codes as well as do a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) search to see if this is a known problem with a known fix. Without the codes, your guess is as good as mine.

It could be corrosion on the battery terminals. Otherwise, you sometimes can't get a car with a dead cell in the batty to jump start at all. I would call the seller and politely ask their advice.
Treat them with respect, and they will probably be very helpful. Don't start accusing them of things. That just never ever helps.

WELL I HAD THE SAME PROB. ON A 95 CHEVY CAPRICE.I REMOVED THE IGNITION AND THE WIRE WAS BROKE.WHEN U TURN THE KEY THE PASS KEY WIRE TURNS WITH THE IGNITION,WHAT A FAULTY DESIGN.ANY HOW BUY A NEW IGNITION AND KEY THAT SHOULD SOLVE THE PROB. GOOD LUCK

Well, no noid signal and no spark says to me that the crank sensor is at fault.

Does the check engine light come on when you turn on the igntion? If not then the ECU is not waking up.
