I need to replace the antenna grommet. How do I remove the antenna? I have a 1990 Jaguar XJ6 Soveriegn

Use a 13mm (possible 14mm) open ended wrench on the chrome ball attached to the body with a black seal around it. The wrench will only fit on one way. After you unscrew it slide it up over the antenna. You may have to loosen the antenna motor on the right hand side behind the trim (a couple of 8mm bolts if I recall) and then you can cleanly remove the grommet and replace with a new one. Reverese the removal procedure to reinstall.

Good Luck.

ASSUMING ......it is the same as a 325i

-fuel pump located under rear seat (right side looking forward )
-working inside the car lift the rear seat
-Pull up rubber grommet which cable goes through
-remove circular steel cover plate
-disconnect mutliplug on top of pump
-unscrew bezel using hammer & punch
-Pull up pump from tank
-replace with new pump ensuring that rubber seal doesnt get kinked
-replace bezel
-connect mutliplug and test before replacing steel cover
-Ensure no leaks, even take car for a ride to ensure no leaks
-if tests ok then replace steel cover and grommet, & seat.

should take about 30mins taking you time.

I have a 1997 bmw 318i. the central locking system keeps blowing the fuse. i know there is a short somewhere, but where

I will suggest to check the wire harness from truck. try to take off the rubber grommet close to trunk hinges. then inspect if there is dammage wire but if you can;t find any fault with it, i suggest to disconnect one by one the connector from each door and and obseve the fuse and if the fault still existing check the central locking module for possible water ingress resulting to blown your fuse

My bonnet on my BMW e36 wont close fully so it is flush to the wings like it is suppose to, is there anyway i can adjust the bonnet to make it be fully closed and flush to the rest of the car many thanks...

My bonet on my 1 series wont close properly it doesnt appear to be catching in the release lock although the mechanisim is working when I press down on it manually. The bonnet is only staying shut because the opener catch/hook is working, but this is the only thing holding it closed.

Linkage Assembly

This plastic bushing also broke on my 96 SL-1. I found a replacement on eBay (search "saturn shift bushing"). Mine came from "saturnbushingman" who shipped very quickly. Fixed the problem in less than 10 minutes using his detailed instructions.
