Missing at 3000rpm

Very rough idling. At about 3000rpm in the park it start missing like it is starving for fuel. Will not go over 3000rpms.When driving, at 60mph(3000rpms) it rides rough. Again, starving for fuel.

Please be fast about checking your fuel pump. It is not giving enough fuel pressure.

SOURCE: Checked the carb out at 0400 this morning while

a couple of places to look at would be the carb,(float bowl and needle valve)to see if it might be overloading it with fuel, the other would be the choke weather it be electric or vacume/mechanical, then look at the egr valve to see if is operating right, check the vacume on it also,if u pull a vacume on it, and it does the same thing, that it has been doing then its either going bad or there is a vacume problem.
If it is the fuel overloading it you can check the plugs to make sure, check for a black, sooty build up on them.(carbon buildup)
being as you put a new fuel pump in it it might be possible that it has blown an internal seal in the carb if its the original carb, and that would cause it to stall out till the fuel level came back down in the float bowl.

Why does my engine start bogging down when it gets to 3000rpms in park

Ford transit connect I've had experiance with the same problem turned out the turbo needs back pressure from the exhaust pipe witch was blowing/had holes in so when 3000rpm was reached it began to bog down.maybe check your exhaust system or air filter.

Hope that helps

99 ford ranger, idles rough till it warms up,then runs good. Hard to start after it gets hot, it acts as if it is starved for fuel. Once it does crank it runs fine.

First thought: Check the idle air control valve, or whatever its Ford equivalent is. Sometimes these start to stick and cause the rough early idle that smooths out later.

Missing at 3000rpms

Could be a plugged catalytic converter.

1996 gmc jimmy 4.3 v6 hard starting on cold starts runs rough for alittle while and sometimes has a high idle.

You should have your fuel pressure checked the problem is one of two things It is either your fuel pump or your fuel pressure regulator. It goes to high idle because it is starving for fuel.

I just bought a 2001 explorer sport 2dr, 131,000km and all of a sudden when i was slowing down at a light, it got alittle jerky, then stalled out completly. Also i have only driven about 50km and i've gone...

i dont know why it stalled out but i do know if in park or neutural it has a limitor on it that will not let the rpms go to high and it feels like its missing but this is normal to keep the engine from reaving to high.

just a guess but might be a fuel pump, try smacking the tank before you start it and see if it idles better after.
