Rear door handle not working passat 2006

Rear external ns door handle not working. I've stripped down door as far as I can, but need to remove inner panel that holds window in for more access. Should I see cable on handle from outside like older models. How do I replace the cable to lock. Pictures would be very helpful . Many thanks

Take it off the door handle side of the cable, not the latch side.

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

inner door pannel ??????
it is likely glued on or if it is metal then it is welded
plastic is the usual thing behind plastic pannel
pick up a chilton book and look it over
or ask dealer for copy of door break down from there chilton book

Interior and exterior door handle not working on my 1991 Olds 88 Brougham

You will need someone with a break in kit. You are only allowed them if you have a reason to have them ie: licensed repairer. It will contain wedges to go between the outside of the window & the door to spread the gap. There is then a series of wire hooks, sheet steel with notches cut out etc... They need to put the correct one in the gap & unlock the door if it is locked. Then actuate the latch mecanism inside to open the door. You can then get the trim off to repair the problem. I have a kit but sorry I can't help.

Rear door handle doesn't operate from the exterior only the interior

Where is the fuse for the cigarette lighter socket on vw passat 2006 The manual I have is incorrect

I found the fuse. There is one in the door for the front Lighter but the one for the rear lighter is under the dash with all the relays. You have to remove the bottom of the dash panel and the fuse is in the panel with the relays.

2006 buick lucerne back doors won't open

My friend just had this problem and he reached in and pulled the inside door handle back as far as it would go, and then let it go, allowing it to 'snap' back. For some reason this fixed it. We have no idea why. By doing this on one door, both rear door locks freed up and the rear locks are now working. Before, both rear locks were stuck and you could not open the doors from the inside nor the outside. Not sure why it works, but maybe it will work for you!

How do I remove the left rear door panel from a 1996 Nissan Maxima? The window just fell down. It can be manually lifted up, but it slides back down again. It no longer mechanically works. If you can...

Disconnect the negative battery cable(for safety if you have power locks and windows)
At the bottom of the door panel remove the two screws
Pry up at the front edge of the power window switch pod and lift it out then unplug the electrical connector
Remove the inside door handle
Remove the screw in the door pull pocket
Pull the door panel away from the door far enough to disconnect the electrical connectors

Rear door on 06 jetta wont open

At a guess the outside handle has become detached from the linkage inside the door and you've got the child lock on as well.

Well to get the child lock off, you need a long fairly broad plastic strip, I've used the long side cut out of a plastic milk carton in the past.

Wind the window in the offending door down, then insert the plastic strip in the door gap underneath the handle, once in try the internal door handle, if it fails try again working your way down the door by widths of the plastic strip, trying the internal door handle as you go, with luck you'll have release the child lock by the 3-4th try.

Once open, its taking the inside door card off and re-attaching the linkage for the outside handle.

go to ebay motors and search your year make model then service repair manual obtain a cd repair manual it has extensive wiring schematics and electrical component locator in it along with repair procedures and illustrations for about $20.00

How do I remove the drivers side glass from a 2000 s10 extended cab truck

Remove inside door handles and trim, wind the window down untill you can see the securing bolts that afix the window to the mechanism, remove external weather strip, tilt the glass and remove going outside of the door frame {you may need to remove a bolt that holds the guide near rear of door} assembly is in reverse, lubricate guides and mechanism while your there.
