I got a tata 407 turbo but the performance is poor it also smokes black and the fuel is black can some please help

Best I can tell this is a diesel truck? I know diesel, but
depending on age could be injectors, possibly Diesel injection pump hopefully not. The fuel is black? Someone is putting old engine lubricating oil in the fuel tank. It will increase the problem of black smoke. It may also have a bad smell because of the engine oil. If the turbo is not spinning properly (high pitched whine) the bearings may be bad and it's not getting enough air into the engine. This would also explain the smoke problem. Take it to a Diesel specialist!

What is the proper oil for the car 2005 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 2500 HD V8-400ci 6.6L DIESEL TURBO

It will be a diesel oil only, with a viscosity rating of 15w-30 or 20w-50 depending on the ambient temperature of your area. The brand is immaterial but it has to be diesel oil to have the ingredients needed to run a turbo. Oil used in a petrol engine will not be suitable for this application.

Need to know if it is ok to run syn oil with the 1.8 turbo

yes perfectly ok ,i would use a turbo diesel oil thats suitable for diesel and petrol engines and the cheapest one at that then change oil every 6000 miles with a oil filter every third oil change ,Do not spend money on expensive boy racer market oil use what the trade uses something like shell rotella and do not be fooled by fancy adverts like liquid engineering and all that stuff these fancy long life oils cause more engine failures than any cheap oil which is changed at regular intervals to prevent a build up of internal clagg inside the engine

What type of engine oil is used for a diesel

go to any auto parts store, like an auto zone and tell them what you are driving. They have a data base which will guarantee that you get the exact oil that you need.

I use Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5W-40 , a fully synthetic supreme performance heavy duty diesel engine oil that helps extend engine life while providing long drain capability and potential fuel economy for modern diesel engines operating in severe applications. Mobil Delvac 1 ESP utilizes state-of-the-art technology to deliver exceptional performance in modern low emission engines, including those with Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and Aftertreatment systems with Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF’s) and Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOC’s). Therefore we believe it will be a good oil for the high mileage vehicles with the proper care for your vehicles as recommended by your manufacturers' guidelines.

1996 turbo deisel fuel and oil leak.

The fuel pump is located under the turbo on that truck. It is most likley washing sediment/old fluids out of the vally of toyr engine. It is also driven by a push rod that ths cam drives, so the lower pump o-ring may be leaking too. You can change the fuel pump without pulling the turbo. Good Luck
