    I have spark and gas

  • arbiosfamily Mar 26, 2009

I pulled spark plug wire and placed very close to ground and saw spark when engine was turned over.I replaced fuel pump yesterday and there was good presure at cap and banjo bolt at filter.I understand distributors are known to fail in this make and model.

They are two most common problems with this vehicle that will cause it to do this 1 bad distributor and the other bad MAIN relay. I need you to check for spark and gas when this vehicle does not start, contact if you need help checking when you figured out whats missing when you fail to start I will give you the answer, Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA

You have spark and gas and still this vehicle would NOT start. Where are you checking for spark and where are you checking for gas?? Just trying to get to the bottom of this ... bare with me

Ok it seems like distributor is working the other problem if there is gas to filter then its the main relay that controls the injector. here is a link with a diagram its located under the dash close to the steering column. http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/mainrelay.... try this and let me know if it doesn't work then it may be the reference signal in the distributor. This is your cheaper option. May be you can get this and the distributor from a used parts place. Good luck

1994 honda accord lx battery light comes on &am & engine looses power what can be the problem?

I would check alternator, does the car stay running if you unplug the battery + after starting it? the car should stay running with alternator power alone if the car dies alternator is bad. if it does not you have to check ignition, fuel delivery or compression.

I have a 1994 honda accord lx that dies while I'm

More than likely this would be the ignition module or the ignition stator (AKA distributor pickup coil).

91 Accord LX 2 dr 4 cyl just put new battery with 5oo cold cranking amps-NO Start! Owner said car has had perpetual problems holding a charge and starting! About 3mo ago Owner charged the old Die hard...

If you manage to get it started, check the alternator output...I'm betting it is bad. Should be making no less than 12.5 with accessories all on, 13.5 to 14 with just engine running. Bad alt can drain battery even when off depending what failed inside it. Towing with a chain is not really a good idea. the cross pin in those differentials are not very good and can fail.

My 94 honda accord keeps dieing out

Could be a couple things but it sounds like maybe your fuel pump is going out. There could also be a clog somewhere along the line. Try adding a fuel cleaner/additive to the tank when you fill it next time, see if that helps.
