VW Polo 2000 1.4 16V Blowing fuse for Central locking / windows

Fuse 26 continually blows with ignition on. Obviously from the fuse the circuit is going to ground. Have disconnected door looms, disconnected Central locking motor in boot, checked tailgate wiring ( eventhough pneumatic actuator for tailgate). My wiring diagram shows output from fuse 26 going directly to pin 12 of central locking pump. I have bypassed existing wiring and put fused 12v supply to pin 12 and yes C/L works but no windows. Furthermore, having reassembled the car seems to be immobilised - it starts and stalls. Fault code reading engine control unit there is a recurrent fault of "Control Unit Disabled". Where else does the black wire from fuse 26 go and how have my actions immobilised the Engine management?

Car electrics are a nightmare. the car lights up when a door is open i presume. and by bypassing the central locking. the electric computer says there is a fault. and will not start. that i think is programed in. best thing to do is. go to phone VW dealer ask about diagnostic test without repair. about £35 then fix it yourself. they garentee it right I think. the dealers have come into line better with that kind of thing phone and ask anyway.

2001 Volkswagen Jetta. The fuse that powers the central locking system the power windows and the sun roof keeps blowing every time I put it in what should I do?

You need a mobile auto electrician to diagnose and find where in those items the dead short is. They will disconnect items one at a time until they find the one that is causing it.

BCM fuse keeps blowing

Sounds like you may have a pinched wiring in the circuit where the fuse supplies power to. Might want to remove all the components that this circuit operates and one by one connect them. Once the fuse pops, you have isolated the circuit and all you need to do is follow the specific wiring to that bad circuit and find the problem.

I'm not sure what country you are in but the Mk4 VW POLO (2002-2009) is shown as having remote central locking. Check with your local VAG dealer

Vw polo fuse for the indicators keeps blowing

Mine did the same. I would change the fuse and test. It would work and as soon as I drive it would pop. I realised that the brake lights were on the same circuit. Remove the rear lights and replace your bulbs. It worked for me. Good luck.

05 vw polo central locking or eletrics not working from driver side window on passenger side not working but central locking on passenger side works

You need to get your fuses checked, all of them just in case, if not. Something is wrong with your electronic windows console. And need tohave it checked by a specialist.

Screen washers will not work on my vw polo 61reg fuse has gone. where is the screen wash fuse in a vw polo 61 reg?

I really doubt the problem is a fuse. More likely the pump is defective or plugged or the washer switch is defective, use a test light and problem the connector to see if it lights when the washer is activated by the switch. If it was a fuse it will just blow again. Fuses blow for reason that is a shorted circuit.
