It probably will not start as the sensor has to work for the cpu to know where tdc is so that it can allow spark and fuel to operate.

Does anyone know97 Honda Odyssey with code P1361 Tdc?

P-Power Train
1-Manufacturer Specified Code (Honda)
3-Ignition System, Misfire
6-Component or Sub-System Section
1-Component or Sub-System Section

P1361 is: Intermittent Interruption In TDC 1 Sensor Circuit.
Check out the TDC sensor, connector 124 (grey and on the distributor) check power and grounds. It's missing a signal from the TDC sensor in the distributor and causing a misfire.

Codep1362

is this OBD2 scan codes? called DTCs'
yes, DTC P1362 , and google works for all DTCs, ever use google.?
if yes, then i bet its confusing, ?
P1362 TDC sensor not reading. Car goes into limp mode.
the first rule of DTCs is P1xxx P1 means manfacture specific code , its not same code as say a FORD.

if you search forums there are many bad posts, on topic.
lots of guessing. if you had the FSM, that wouldnt happen
read the FSM it tells you not only what the tests does, but
how to solve this riddle. or go to alldata.com
This engine, (not stated exact) is a no dizzy engine
its called, DIS,
and runs off up to 3 sensors. on some years.
one sensor is the TDC sensors
this tells the ECU when to fire.
TDC is when the #1 piston is at top dead center.
if this sender dies, usually the car will not start.
(some cars this is and exception)
point too must ECU;' can also throw any rotational sensor
error for 1 miss out of 8 hits. this is called a flaky sensor.

in a shop we scope the sensor signals to see what is really going on, (bad ,weak, flakey, or dead,) or just loose.
or the tone wheel lose. or or or, you can see my point, it can be lots of things, both electrical or pure mechanical.
and last , the ECU never knows EVER what is broken
it only knows the TEST FAILed, never ever why.
that is the job of the humans to find that. an ASE mech.

Starting

Hi Naill, I'm just guessing too. The TDC sensor is actually the crank shaft or camshaft sensor. They controls the ignition and injection timing. They can have become defective or contaminated with dirt. Try cleaning and see what happens. Sorry for not being of more help. Regards John

What is involved to fix check engine light codes P1361 and P1362 and how much should I pay a reputable mechanic

The code P1361 and P1362 can relate to a TDC sensor failure, the plug could be dirty or you may need to replace the sensor. Here's a walkthrough:

http://www.civicforums.com/forums/115-engine/323984-diy-tdc-sensor-cmp-sensor-replacement-w-pics.html

P1362 means the PCM isn't getting a signal from the TDC sensor. The TDC sensor is actually the camshaft position sensor.

TDC is also a Crank Position Sensor, Advanced Auto Parts has them for $70, or you can pick it up from your local dealer.

How do I fix a Interruption in TDC #1 sensor circuit problem on a 2001 Honda Civic? THe code is P1361 and P1362

P1361 is a misfire code, and P1362 is a TDC sensor (or crankshaft position sensor) code. The known possible repair is to replace the crankshaft position sensor. You may have to ask for a tdc sensor as some parts providers follow the mfr's part name.

Hi... I have a 2001 renault scenic 1.6 sport. I have been having problems with starting, it starts fine every morning, it just seems to happen after it has been run! It does not happen every time just...

Hi Roy

It could be many things causing this problem but we're going to start with the most common on Renault's testing the LED light on your instrument panel, when you install your key to start if it's flashing rapidly then the problem is with the immobilizer.

Suggestion number two the engine TDC sensor or in other terms the engine speed sensor also known as flywheel sensor which can be found under the airbox filter, mounted to the gearbox in between gearbox and engine, when the problem occurs place your hand and try to move the connector that is connected to the TDC and then try to start the engine normally it's a connector problem and not the actual sensor.
If this does not solve your problem I have further suggestions.

Renault scenic 1.6 16v. occasionally will not start

This could be a possibility of a bad connection to the engine speed sensor or in other terms flywheels sensor or TDC sensor located under the thermostat housing screwed to the gearbox by two bolts, when the problem occurs try playing around with the connector connected to the TDC sensor and then try to start it, renault has a new modified connector and TDC sensor on the market.
I hope this helps.
