2002 Dodge Van towing a Rock Climbing Wall. No

2002 Dodge Van towing a Rock Climbing Wall. No running lights and interior dash lights have quit working. Everything worked fine on the trip to our destination. Now on trip back home, running lights to the Rock Wall have quit working and the interior dash lights have stopped working. Just had battery replaced before trip. What could these two things have in common?

Thanks very much for your input. It was dark when we left and dark coming home. We think it might be a short in the tail light of the RCW. I appreciate your quick response! Definitely are going to check fuses........... God Bless you!

I would think that the wires from the RCW (rock climbing wall) that control the running lights are wired to the interior dash lights of the van, and a fuse blew, killing the above mentioned lights. Check the fuse block for a bad fuse, probably labeled inst lights or inst lgt. Did you make the trip there in daylight, and trip home at night? The fuse for the dash lights couldn't handle the extra drain of the RCW running lights.

Let me know what you find, and I would like to see a rock climbing wall traveling down the highway! It must attract some attention! Good luck, Curt

My son's rock climbing wall broke and we need to either fix it or find a rock climbing facility in the Phoenix Arizona area.

I am not very handy when it comes to fixing things but I am good when it comes to research and finding good deals. I read that you might also be looking for a rock climbing facility in Arizona. You can check out Phoenix Rock Gym. They have a huge facility specifically meant for rock climbing. The website which is Pogo Pass has some discounted passes for the Phoenix Rock Gym. If your looking to fix the rock wall maybe home depot would be a good start.

Stereo quits, interior lights quit and I cant lock with fob - is this to do with the BCM

The dashboard module can also cause this, but it is a good possibility that the bcm is bad. Check for water intrusion around the bcm and under the passenger side of the dash. The drain tube for the a/c can get clogged with debris and cause the water runoff to come back into vehicle and create many problems.

Van was running and stop running wont start again all dash lights com on and it just clicks

Just a guess your engine was running on the battery because the alternator was not putting out enough to keep the battery charged. The engine died but still had enough power to power the dash lights but not enough to start it

The first thing I noticed is that my automatic locks stopped working. After I got into my van, manually, I started it and nothing on the dash worked. My radio and heater work but nothing lights up. The...

check for a screw on a brace under the dash with a lot of brown/ black or other same colored wires going to it, this is the common ground point for a lot of cars, take it a little loose then tighten it back up, that should fix it.

Took our 2001 Caravan SE to local mechanic because rear wiper quit working. They diagosed proble as faulty PCM. Thought they were doing us a favour by putting in a used one from a 2002 that they thought...

i dont see why they would diag the pcm for the rear wiper, power from fuse to switch to wiper!! no pcm in between this operation. I would have had this fixed in a hour. Have mechanic pay for the bill to get it running. It was running fine when you took it there and only the rear wiper didnt work and now you are out of a vehicle and a tow bill at a hourly dealer cost. Best of luck to you 300.00 later.

2002 Chrysler van

you have no power coming in from one of the circuits from fusebox under hood. You will need to run new circuit line in from dash and BCM to the fuse box under hood
