1995 Honda Civic lx 5 speed manual will not shift into reverse very easily or not at all.
It could be that your syncro for the reverse gear is gone. Which would have to be brought to a tranny shop not a do it your self type of job.

The car shifts pretty easily. It does not seem to want to go into 5th gear easily or reverse. It runs rough in second gear. Just got the car 1 month ago and kept killing it when backing up.
When I shift gears I do not have to push the clutch all the way down. But when I start the car or shift into reverse I have to push the clutch all the way down
Sorry I see my answers posted on the message board. I have never used this site before. The car shifts easily except when I start or go in reverse I need to push clutch all the way down.

u didn't answer my question about the clutch engagement, I have a very important reason for asking this question.
how is the clutch? does it engage at the top of the pedal travel?
