I would check Cam Position Sensor as is directly related with ignition. Power loss is due to the ECU going on "limp mode" to prevent further damage. I hope this helps!
When you say it loses power, do you mean electrical power or engine power ? You would need to look at the fuse boxes for a loss of electrical power, and use a scanner or code reader to check the computer for trouble codes for a loss of engine power.
Have your local parts house run a obd2 scan if your check engine light is on. I had similar problems traced back to a IAC sensor. Idle air control. It controls your idle speed by controlling the fuel and air mixture. It will surge forward when stopped much like you feathering the throttle. It will also hinder your fuel economy and driving power.
Most common cause of power loss is a stopped up catalytic converter. If you are saying it shuts off while driving, most common problem is the crankshaft sensor. IF you haven't changed the plugs or wires in the last 30K, it is definetly due for plugs wires, and probably cap and rotor button also.
have you check your fuel pressure regulator, check fuel filter,or take back to dealer to see if there is any faults stored in car computer, could have faulty wiring
