I have a 99 silverado 5.3 liter. Have already replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump relay. Is there an inline fuse for the pump? Hope I don't have to change the pump.
There used to be a fuse for the pump on the fuse panel. It only takes a few minutes to check all of them with a volt meter if they are not marked clearly. Hope this helps.

My info says fuel pressure 55--62 psi. Yes, probably the fuel pump. Usually low pressure is a problem on the supply side. You can be thorough, check proper voltage and ground at fuel pump connector. Check inline fuel filter. I've checked inline fuel filters before where the fluid that ran out looked like dirty water. Don't take connections loose from inline fuel filter unless your sure, no pressure on the system.
You could block the return line, where applicable, momentarily, to see if pressure will go high. If not, it should be the pump.
Have you changed plugs and plug wires lately. Sounds like misfire, possible ! Should also check fuel pressure , plugged fuel filter or weak fuel pump ! Mass air flow sensor dirty, or map sensor .What engine do you have and does yours have How to replace the spider injector on Cheyv motor 4 3 or 5 7 liter
It sounds like you are on the right track. Here are the basics for your pump. I took a guess at the engine size and went with a 4.3 V6, Hopefully that is it.
1. There is an ECM B fuse, 20amp that feeds one side of the relay. 2. You have already mentioned the relay. The other side of the relay feeds from the VCM or Vehicle control module.
Remove your relay and check pin #3.. You should have 12volts with key on. If not check the ECM B fuse. If you cross pin#3 and #5 on at the relay location you should feed 12 volts to your pump and it should run. If it does not, look for a ground problem on the black pump wire or a broken wire between the relay and the pump. I show a gray power wire to the pump.
before you drop tank again, check fuses & relay.then disconnect fuel line @ filter turn key to on position should hear fuel pump run and get gas stream out of line. if no flow from line new pump faulty be sure & remove negative battery cable first good luck.
fuel filter? how about power to the fuel pump, loose ground wire to chasis? wiring harness? terminals clean at point of connection?did you check the fuel pump relay? Relay is located in electrical center under the hood on the driver side.relay and fuse legend will be on bottom side of cover, you sould be able to switch with another relay that you know works, ie: switch horn relay with fuel pump relay, honk horn to insure both relays are working when either relay is inserted into horn slot. Do you by chance have the electrical schematic drawing for the fuel pump?
If you are getting spark then it may be a fuel pump problem or fuel pump relay or inline fuse. Always start Fuel system troubleshooting by replacing the fuel filter or filters! You may be able to apply 12 volts from the battery (use a fused line) directly to the 12 volt side of the fuel pump and listen to see if the pump runs. Also may need to check that it is getting a good ground to the fuel pump. Then if the fuel pump does not run independently, replace the fuel pump. The fuel pump relay is computer controlled and several other things give the computer inputs which then controls the voltage to the fuel pump relay.
Underneath your hood, behind the passenger side headlight, behind the core support, is a bank of 2-8 relays. One of those relays is the relay needed for your fuel pump. There will also be a fuel pump relay fuse located there. The relay designation should be on the cover of the relay compartment.
Check the fuse under the dash. Did you replace the inline fuel filter? If not, you could loosen the line going into the filter then turn the key to the on position. The pump should run for about 2 seconds then the relay should kick off. Turn off the key for approx. 5 seconds then cycle key back on and the pump should cycle again. If you get a 2 second burst of fuel each time then the pump is cycling. Install a new fuel filter and check the grounded wire by the tank. Hope this helps. :)
