My old remote works and I have purchased a new remote that needs programing. Dealers and Locksmiths are charging $50.00 for programming.

Fifty is cheap and should pay it because no else can program the remote because it must be done through the computer.

Bought new keyless remote for my 06 buick lacross. need to know how to program it.

There is no way manually program a keyless remote to this vehicle. This vehicle requires special equipment be connected to the vehicle diagnostic port to program the remote into the keyless entry module. Sorry many new cars are this way.

Keyless remote stopped working, I replaced battery

The 1997 to 2003 Dodge Caravan and Grand Caravan use a standard key and remote setup with a separate remote fob. However, the 2004 to 2009 Dodge Caravan and Grand Caravan use a combination key and remote on one device. To program a new keyless entry remote for the 1997 to 2003 Dodge Caravan, you must have at least one functional remote, which is required to enter synchronization mode. To program the combination key for the 2004 to 2009 Dodge Caravan, you must have two functional combination keys. If you do not, you'll need to see an authorized Dodge dealer for keyless entry programming assistance.

2004 to 2009 Caravan Programming Instructions
  1. Insert one of your working combination keys into the ignition. Turn it to "On"; leave it in this position for about 10 seconds but no longer than 15 seconds. Turn it to "Off" and remove it.
  2. Insert your second working combination key into the ignition within 15 seconds of removing the previous key. Turn it to "On". After 10 seconds, you'll hear a chime and the "Theft" light will begin to flash, entering synchronization mode. Turn the key to "Off" and remove it.
  3. Insert the combination key you want to program. Turn it to "On." After 10 seconds, you'll hear a chime; then the "Theft" light will turn off. When the light turns off, the combination key--including the key and the remote--is programmed.
  4. Repeat Step Three for each combination key you want to program. A total of eight can be programmed.
Hope this help (remember comment and rated).

Programming the keyless remote

if you have the original remote, you can do it yourself. My remote was working without a problem until the other day when all of a sudden it didn't work out of nowhere. I thought it was the battery (might have been and needed to be reprogrammed after replacing it) so I changed it. Still didn't work. So I did a search and found the following instructions: Click Here

The answer is remarkably simple:
1. Get in the car and close the door.
2. Turn the key to the ACC position
3. Push the unlock button on the remote until the blinkers flash once.
4. Get out of the car and test the remote. It should be working fine. ( I actually was able to test it while in the car)

P.S. I would change the battery first.

Need to program a keyless remote on 2003 Liberty

the instructions say they are the same for up to 06. Need a working remote to make this work. On your programmed remote:
- Switch the ignition to the on position.
- Press and hold the Unlock button for at least four seconds. While holding this button, press the panic button and then release both buttons at the same time. You may or may not hear a chime from the vehicle.
- Within 30 seconds, on all remotes to be programmed (including the original "programmed remote")press and release the lock and unlock buttons at the same time, followed by pressing ANY button on the remote.
- Switch the ignition to off or wait 30 seconds for the programming mode to clear.

Just did it last eve; also can find more details in the Owners Manual (However you only need one working keyless remote to program another keyless remote. You should be able to use the electronic vehicle information center (EVIC) on the overhead console to train remote (Owner's Manual, p. 132-133). However, on my 2005 Liberty this does not show up as an option like it does on my 2003 Liberty.) or Jeep KJ Service Manual.

Hope it works for you (remember rated this help).
