Diagram pleas for f-150 truck 6 cylinder spark plugs to distributer
You didn't say if you have the straight 6 or v 6.But i'll give the order for both.
The 4.9L straight 6 is 1-5-3-6-2-4----------- distributor rotor turning clockwise, and #1 plug is the first plug.
On the 3.0 and 4.2 V6 engines is 1-4-2-5-3-6-------#1 plug is the first plug on driver side---- facing engine.
Hi, the firing order is ( 1 - 3 - 7 - 2 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 8 )
The distributor rotor turns COUNTERCLOCKWISE
The marked # 1 position on the distributor cap faces to the REAR and slightly towards the drivers side, the engine cylinders spark plug locations are numbered.
The wiring diagram....
1-5-3-6-2-4 is the spark plug firing order for the 4.9 L ( 300 cubic inch ) straight 6
The distributor rotor turns CLOCKWISE
The marked # 1 position on the distributor cap is installed facing away from the engine
Hope this helps

If someone has altered the disstributer, pull #1 plug, put finger over hole, turn engine over until compression on that cyl, line up timing marks (ball park only) and rotor will be pointing at the correct terminal for #1 cylinder plug wire connection, in the cap.
