A few days ago i bought a 1996 jeep grand cherokee limited at an auctition (spelling?). When i was driving it home, whenever i would press the gas pedal to go into passing speed around 70mph it would slighlty buck and lose power. Just today i was driving and i was at a stop sign at a highway intersection, i left the stop and i was only doing 30mph and it was badly bucking and almost died in the highway. I think it might be old gas but im not sure. It seems to be doing in more since i got it home, it will buck even at 30mph or less.
Sounds like bad gas (old), partially plugged fuel filter or fuel pump going away. I'd change fuel filter and when you do, check contents of old one for possible water contamination. If it does not help, check fuel pressure and have a code check done (most larger parts houses do this free.) if you find something specific you need help with I'll try to help best I can...
good luck!
Seen where this is the culprit many times...it's called your Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor.

I think it might just be a cold natured car? Put new gas in it, ran it for a while seems not to buck when i let it warm up. Thanks for your input
