I have a Ford F350 V-8 351 2x4 with 142000 miles. The truck has been maintained fairly well for its age. Recently, the truck has had problems starting when cold. I have to pump the gas several times then turn the starter for 8-10 seconds to get it to fire. Then to stop it from stalling, I have to continuously hold down the accelerator to keep it from stalling.
Once, it has warmed up from my keeping my foot on the accelerator for a 1-2 minutes, it will idle and drive normally. Once the truck sits for several hours, the problem comes back again.
