The A/C does not blow out the dash vents. Instead it comes out by the feet. If I turn it on defrost/feet setting, it will come out both of those. I feel a little bit of air seeping out the dash vents but that is it. Before it completely stopped working I would hear a loud clicking noise coming from behind the instrument panel or somewhere in that area. Now there is no clicking sound or air blowing out the dash vents. Please help, HOT in TX.

You have a bad front wheel bearing on the left side because you say when you turn right the noise goes away, because when you turn right the suspension lifts up on the opposite side and releives some weight on the bearing causing it to quiet down. No it is NOT a DIY repair unless you have some pretty extensive tools. the quickest easiest and least expensive way to fix this is to go to a wrecking yard and buy a steering knuckle for the left. it will have a wheel bearing already pressed into it and all you have to do is replace the whole thing and you are done. do not open any brake lines or hoses to do this job just gently press the brake caliper piston back about 1/2" so it will fit over the brake pads when you reinstall.
please rate this advice a fixya if you feel I have provided excellent service.

It may just need to be adjusted (it sounds like it's too loose). If the belt isn't cracked or frayed, you should just have it tightened up a bit . If there are signs it is worn (cracked frayed) replace it.

YOU SEEM TO HAVE A LOOSE OR BAD AC COMPRESSOR DRIVE BELT. WHEN YOU SWITCH THE TO THE VENTS CLOSE TO THE WINDSHIELD IT TURN THE AC COMPRESSOR CLUTCH ON, IT ACTIVATES THE DEFROST. TRY POURING SOME WATER ON THE AC BELT AND SEE IF NOISE GOES AWAY. THE BELT MAY NEED ADJUSTMENT OR MAY NEED TO BE REPLACED. GOOD LUCK

did you reseet the vent positions?. It could happen but its a long shot the system has lost its charge and the safety switch is keeping the compressor from running, or the safety sw itself is bad.

go into your car.... under the steering wheel next to the gas pedel theres a little lever .... flick the switch ... it should be a white lever .... if its not then the lever came undone and it will be a black and silver switch..... that should probably fix it ... i had the same car with that problem

Sorry, my car is a 2010 Hyundai Sonata. It's not a Hyundai Elantra. Thanks!
