1999 GMC Sierra inside door locks no longer work!

The inside door locks no longer work on the passenger or driver side. The windows still go up and down. The lights for the locks no longer come on at night either. However the keyless entry still works to lock and unlock the doors. I checked and have power going into the switches on both the passenger and driver side. I'm hoping it's a fuse somewhere.

SOURCE: HAVE A 03 GMC SIERRA

I had the same problem in my wife's 2003 Yukon Denali. The power seats and passengers side window wouldn't work. Turned out to be a blown Buss Type fuse in the Underhood Fuse Block. It is the one marked MBEC 1 50amp. Hard to tell if the are blown so look very carefully. Should look like a hoop with two shiny solderlooking bubbles on either side. On my blown fuse, it caught my attention because it looked like the solder was missing and I had to look very closely to see the bottom of the "hoop" was open. They are very hard to remove and must be pulled straight up.
This type of fuse looks like a red square with a clear plastic top showing the fuse link under the plastic. On my vehicle it is on the top row second one from the left.

SOURCE: Power Door Lock Problem

The last post by maddog1321 was exactly what I had with my right rear door. The electric locks would not lock and unlock, and you almost couldn't do it manually without my feeling I was about to break something. I took the door panel off, oiled everything and got no relief. Finally, I saw the above post and drilled out the aft-most pop-rivet. THE WINDOW WORKED PERFECTLY! I didn't drill out the forward (closest to the handle) pop-rivet because I wanted to do one at a time so the solenoid would not fall out of place. I then put a new pop-rivet in place of the one I drilled out. I then reinstalled everything and the locks work like new.

SOURCE: power window switchs on 1996 gmc jimmy

Inspect or replace the window lock and unlock switch on the drivers door power window switch. There is a lock and unlock switch that will disable the switches to the other power window in the Jimmy. Check to make sure that switch is in the unlock position to have the other power window switch to work.
Thank you for suing fixya and good luck.

What is the location of the fuel filter on a 1999 gmc sierra 1500 ?

My info says, under the vehicle, driver side, close to gas tank, attached to inside frame rail.

If you lay on the ground, passenger side, look at the inside driver frame rail, you can probably see it. Make sure no pressure on the fuel system before taking any fuel lines loose.

My 2003 gmc Sierra driver side door panel quit working, locks quit, seat heater quit, windows quit, passenger side works fine

The most likely culprit is your driver's door control module... it's built into the driver's window switches. Double-check all your fuses before replacing any parts.

2003 GMC Sierra - intermittent behaviour on driver side power window. Passenger side and door locks work fine. Likely in the DDM module or motor itself ? Have disconnected and reconnected the connector...

I suggest replacing the switch on the passenger side. Chances are the switch is faulty by a back connection inside - switch is wore out - if it works every now and then.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

2001 Sierra. My driver side window stopped

The window motors are getting weak. If they are stuck down you can sometimes get them up by giving a firm hard hit on inside lower door panel while holding button up. This can get the windows up until you can get the window motor replaced. If you would like any further assistance feel free to ask, Thank you.

Hi, I have a 2003 gmc sierra hd, duramax engine, 2 doors, long box. There is power locks on it and the door driver's door doesn't lock either with the driver switch or the passenger door switch, I change...

I have a similar problem. The remote sometimes opens all doors, and other times it will only open the 2 rear doors. Once inside the vehicle, the driver side window controls intermittently operates all windows and doors. It has no effect on the 2 rear doors, as the window controls still work. This behavior happens intermittently while driving the vehicle.
