How do I change the drivers side mirror on a 2002 Pontiac Montana?
I am a real amateur!

    Have you ever seen a Pontiac Montana before? There is no "plastic cover inside the car thats right in line with the mirror"!!

    There is no way to remove just that piece, as you suggested.

There u should a plastic pieceinsise the car inline with the mirror remove that and there will be bolts holding the mirror on

    cant be more simple u just remove the plastic cover inside the car thats right in line with the mirror un bolted the mirror

    ok u mean tell me there isnt a trim piece that cames up at front the door panel next to the dash when u close the door its triangle shape cause im looking at one rt now

    it either held by clips or screws if u dont see a screws then it prys off

sounds like a bad wire you may have to do a test back on that line to see if theres a bad connection.If you have a tester you can see if your getting power to the plug.

2002 pontiac montana passanger pwr window
I beleive you need to change the Power Window Switches Module in the drivers side door panel, as these connections are interlinked within this module and it is usually the first part that fails. Especially that you already changed the switches & motor in the passenger door and it still does not work. Once you remove the dual switch module in the driver's side door, you will understand what I mean. Plus it is really easy to access. Good luck! I have the same model, Claude

1999 Pontiac Montana DRIVER SIDE mirror attachment broken.
The most inexpensive cure is to replace it entirely. I've gone to dealers to buy small parts & paid more for the small parts than the entire item costs elsewhere.

I didn't of course call & verify the exact price since I can't see the damage so I'm going on years of replacing mirrors others have broken off & asked me to repair.

You can see the part in it's entirety on eBay at a reasonable price for heated & power, see item #
110440973578 priced at 48.00 incl. S&H.

A basketball goal fell on my wifes 2003 pontiac montana and it broke the mirror on drivers side. how do i get the mirror off?
You gotta pull door panel find screws for arm rest, pull door hand off, you have push type retainers around panel need to get door panel tool from parts store or carefull use & bent screw driver to pry & pop off from there unplug harness connectors to panel & remove panel pull plastic dorn in front of door you should have 3 10mm head nuts on mirror studs good luck

You'll have to replace the entire assembly if you're missing the mounting piece that the mirrors sit on inside the housing... You'll need to remove the door panel in order to remove the panel that's right beside the mirror on the inside of the door and remove the 3 bolts holding the mirror down assembly down....
