How to reset service A or B indicators on your Mercedes C class, useful when you change your own oil.
hold the reset button on fascia, switch on ignition, release reset, press and hold button on end off indicator switch, repress reset button and hold, this should work it may not work if you have a diesel particulate filter fitted, because that has to be reset also so it can regenerate itself, in which case it has to be reset using suitable diagnostic equipment,
If this doesnt work theres a reset tool you can buy at most auto part stores $25-$40
1
Turn your key to position 2 to power on the battery or turn the key all the way to start the engine on. Either option will allow you to reset the service indicator.
2
Press either of the two buttons on the left side of your steering wheel featuring arrows pointing to the left and right to find the menu displaying the mileage. The menu options will appear on the screen underneath the speedometer.
3
Press either the up or down arrow button until you see the service symbol displayed.
4
Press the trip odometer reset button on the left side of the instrument panel for three seconds until the menu asks, "Do you want to reset the service interval? Confirm with the R-button."
5
Press the trip odometer reset button again to complete the reset process.
OTE: If the service interval indicator flashes it may be caused by one of the service interval indicator parameters not being programmed. This can only be carried out using suitable diagnostic equipment. Always check for any stored trouble codes as this may affect the resetting of the service interval indicator. Ensure all doors are closed. Turn ignition key to position I. Press and hold reset button [A] 104667 07, 116126 07 Immediately turn ignition key to position II (within 2 seconds).
