No, it can not be disabled.
The theft system is indicating a short term theft issue.
Have you added any "after market" remote start systems or alarms?
If NO.
Insert the key in the ignition, turn the key to run position ( do not start ) and leave it in that position for 10 minutes. Cycle the key to LOCK position, count to 10, then turn the key back to run position and leave on for 10 more minutes. After the 10 minutes is up, repeat the procedure (1) more time and the security system will relearn the PASS code.
Give it a try and let me know.
Regards,

I know you think you are being helpful, but seriously most people who have found their way here already know that info.
What they want is a way to disable this POS system Chevrolet forced on us poor idiots who bought this vehicle with the faulty passlock system, (yes it is faulty do a websearch for it and you will see 1000's of post about the problem) Chevrolet should manup and fix this problem.

My 2006 Chevy Express Van 4.3L will not start, it cranks but gets no fuel. Have spark, no blown fuses, crank position sensor is correct. Passlock has malfunctioned, how can I fix the passlock without replacing it, can it be bypassed? Also, there are no "security" lights lighting up, never have been.

Car starts then cuts out

MAKE SURE YOUR BATTERY IS CHARGED OR NEW. TAKE OFF THE STEERING COLUMN COVERS. PUT THE KEY IN, NO EXTRA KEYS HANGING FROM IT. START THE CAR. UNPLUG THE CONNECTOR WITH THE YELLOW, BLACK, AND WHITE WIRES CONNECTING TO THE PASSLOCK/LOCK CYLINDER, AND IT WILL CONTINUE TO RUN.TAPE THE CONNECTORS. REPLACE COVER. YOUR THEFT LIGHT WILL STAY ON/FLICKER. YOU HAVE DISABLED THE SYSTEM. NOW THE CAR WON'T CUT OFF WHILE TRYING TO START IT. SUMMARY: YOUR PASSLOCK WAS FAILING. OTHERWISE IF YOUR IGNITION SWITCH WAS FAILING, IT PROBABLY WOULDN'T TRY TO START. FOUND THIS ON A SITE FOR A CAVALIER...... AND SUNFIRES DIAGRAMS AND THEFT FEATURES ARE MOSTLY THE SAME. NO PELLET IN KEY. NO RESISTORS. NO CUTTING WIRES. NO 10 MIN RELEARN. HOPE THIS HELP.

Truck want start sometimes, have to wait for about 10 mins then it will start. took it to the dealer they cant find anything wrong .can you help me? i have a 2006 chevy colorado.

Check to see if there is a light on the dash that says "security" or "antitheft" or a picture of a car with a lock thru it when this happens again. The fact that the truck starts after 10 minutes makes me think its a failing antitheft system disabling either your starter or fuel injectors. This is actually a VERY common GM problem. My passlock system is acting up it does it 2 to 3 times a day if not more and i have been late 4 work alot due to this i am thinking of getting a lawyer if i cant find a way to fix this problem

the correct resistance must be accross ignition switch, or the passlock disables f1 for about 10 minutes. could be ignition switch, bcm, or ecm. engine control module. check or replace key lock cylinder first. have a good day !

2006 chevy colorado cranks over but wont start

2005 Colorado 4x4 stick shift – I had the same thing happen and it had to do with the passlock system – it will keep your truck from starting for approximately 10 minutes, yes you will have to wait and let it sit- if you try to start it will just turn over forever. On my truck the solution was to change my starting procedure, I now keep the truck in neutral-turn the key all the way for a few seconds and then push in the clutch- it starts every time. If you have an automatic I don’t know..
