SOURCE: 1989 chevy truck, 5.7...will not start....no fire

Hi, I believe there is a computer problem. If possible check codes for no start condition. if you know the no.#1 cylinder at TDC (Top Dead Center) on engine then you will know no#1 distributor is. Good luck.

4x4 v8 1998 dodge truck won't start

well if ur not getting spark and u changed all of the ignition components lets think about the computer in order for the ignition to work you have crankshaft position sensor that fires the fuel injectors and the spark change that and if still nothing then change the camshaft postion sensor that sensor tells the computer that the 1 piston has came all the way up and it tells the crankshaft sensor to do its thing

My 2005 dodge neon sxt wont start, no spark, changed cam shaft sensor, coil is good, cant find the crankshaft sensor, also wondered if it could be the timing belt, what do you think?

the crank sensor is on the back side of the engine just above the oil pan there will be two sensors there one is the crank sensor and the other is oil presser sensor. All so check the wires from the crank sensor to the cam sensor. If you think it is the timing belt pull the cover and check it. hope this helps.

It cranks but it won't start. I got a new battery, cam position senor and crank position sensor. took out the ignition control was told that was still good.

Check for spark at the plug wires to spark plugs, no spark on anything, then suspect a fouled job replacing the cam position sensor.

2003 Hyundai Accent GT 1.6L Engine cranks over but no spark to the spark plugs. Replace coil pack, but still no spark ?

I'm pretty sure your car will have a Crankshaft Position Sensor and it is probably bad.
To avoid replacing things that aren't bad, I recommend owning a service manual for your car. We have one in each of three different vehicles and wouldn't be without them. We like Haynes the best.

Oh man that's a tough one. It almost sounds like a bad head, however there is an electronic spark control mounted to the firewall, that could possibly be doing it. If it is fuel injected, check your injectors. Something else to check would be the fuel pressure regulator. I'll have to think more on it, because you have replaced so much. Have you checked for trouble codes? The throttle position sensor can cause some of your symptoms. Hope this helps, but I think you might have a faulty esc control (electronic spark control)

The crank and cam sensors would be a huge problem - the car wouldn't work if the sensors were at absolute nonfucntion, but you'd have issues if the sensor's issues were intermittent.
