DEAD CAR ALL WAS FINE, NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER, NO DASH LIGHTS WARNINGS. PUT THE CAR IN PARK, TURNED OFF THE IGNITION AND IT STARTED TO ROLL BACKWARDS WITH SHIFTER IN PARK,ENGAGED E-BRAKE AND TRIED TO START THE CAR....NOTHING..........EVERYTHING ELSE WORKED BUT NOT EVEN THE SLIGHTEST RESPONSE WHEN TURNING THE KEY...........COMPLETLEY BAFFELED THANK YOU FOR ANY ASSISTANCE YOU MAY OFFER JOHN WELDON

yes you can.. on your shift console there is a little square cover half a inch.get a thin screw driver and push it in. there is a button in there, step on the brake and shift the gear, with car on.  take it to the shop and they will put it in a scanner to see the problem...GOOD LUCK

seems like your key is not being recognized, possible your tumbler..the ring around your ignition switch is bad

Did you try jacking up the car at the front then wiggle the steering as you turn the key? Did you try a spare key? Spray inside the mechanism with WD40. Try putting the key in at different depths and turning.
The lock cylinder is a replace only item.

It's not that unusual for a battery to fail that soon, and the "no lights, no nothing" says that it's the battery again. Your best bet at this point is to pull the battery and take it to the point of purchase for testing. They should either replace it under warranty or charge it for you. After you replace the battery you should have the charging/electrical system checked for possible shorts or power drains.

There is a fuse to protect the circut operating the electric steering lock.
