Kit applied to the front cv axle but when car was driven home the liquid began to drip again causing smoke to come up on to the engine. This is the third time I have taken it in and the problem has not been fixed.
Red liquid is either transmission fluid or coolant. Tranny fluid is oil and coolant, if it's even red, is watery. This kit that was applied to cv axle, was it a repair kit. and why was it done. If the boot is torn you need a new boot, or a whole new half shaft. I would get your money back for the first two times you took it in, and probably the third time, and then take it to someone else because your mechanic isn't doing his job.
Sounds like there not installing the seal right. have you taken it to the same place to have it repaird every time?
This is all wheel drive and the cause may be the seal between the (awd) gear box and the transmission, there is (ssm) special service message that directly correlates to this concern.

Since the vehicle is under warranty I have taken it to the Lincoln-Ford Dealer. I do know for a fact he messed up on the first seal and replaced it on the second go around. Now it is worse than ever.
The dealership is saying the liquid is leaking out of the R/side CV Axle. They replaced the intermediate shaft seal, alignment washer and deflector. The second time they removed the axle and found seal had failed and was leaking. They replaced seal kit and rechecked for leak which was strange to me as by the time I drove into my driveway it was leaking so bad onto the exhaust pipe that smoke was coming up between the vents and the engine. I am not being charged for this as the vehicle has only 14,500 miles on it.
