I am wrinting from Brazil, so sory by my english. you can try resetting it by disconnecting battery ,wait 30 sec then reconnect two things make sure you have drivers side window all the way down and the keys in your hand it may set off auto locks (I have seen it happen)once you reconnect battery alarm will go off and lights will flash at this point put key in drivers side door and turn it to open close 3 times with out opening door that should do it.
Just a suggestion as I have seen this before--with door open pull up on outside handle and in door there is a curved latch that can be pulled open with a screwdriver---the hook is likely closed and with opening pressure on the outside handle you should be able to snap it open so the door will close properly---often happens if someone snaps it by accident closed (the hook latch).
There is a broken wire in the rubber casing between the door and the vehicle. Take the rubber casing off and you will more than likely find a broken wire or one about to break. Been there and done that.
i have a 95 jeep grand cherokee lerado from time to time my alarm goes off i dont have a remote 4 my alarm but i found out that if you put the key in the driver door and unlock it. it will reset the alarm!!!!!
