What type of freon for the 1997 plymouth grand voyager

the freon type should be a decal under the hood somewhere if its not missing as well as the amount of freon required.if no decal then if the fittings for the hose that attaches to the a/c lines are threaded then this will take R12 freon.if the fittings don`t have threading(like quick release fittings) on them then it will take R134 freon.

I need to no how to add freon to my 1998 ford explorer and what type of freon does it take

Adding freon to a car requires connecting the low-side service valve first, followed by the high side, recovering the existing freon, evacuating the system of air and recharging the system with new freon.
You can use R-134a refrigerant for 1998 Ford Explorer. You can get all parts necessary for Ford Explorer at one place at http://www.carpartswarehouse.com/carparts/Ford/A-C_Condenser.html

I want to know wat kind of ac freon my expadition

It uses the 134 A which is a replacement for freon, but is not freon. It is supposed to be more environmentally friendly, but is not as efficient when it comes to cooling as the old Freon 12. It is illegal in the US for you to have freon in your possession, only authorized shops are allowed to have it and install it.

Air Conditioning

#1 you will need r134a freon. #2 the low side service port is located right at the firewall where tha line goes to the evaporator. #3 if wou bought a can of 134a freon with a hose that will hook to it, it will work. all service fittings for 134a freon are the same even though the high side and the low side will always differ
