Car will not start randomly, sometimes will stop when moving. When the ignition is turned, the starter goes, but the fuel pump does not start (note: only happens seldom), after it does not start, if left idle for a while, and then turn ignition again, it will go. -Fuel pump replaced -Fuel filter replaced -Fuel pump relay replaced
Test the electrical circuit ,voltage drop ! Do you know how do to automotive electrical testing using a DMM - digital multi-meter ? Looking at a wiring diagram so you know what wire's are what ?

Assuming it is a fuel problem I checked at the carb. to be sure no gas was being pumped through the filter located under the power steering pump then the fuse on my 87 s10 was the ECM fuse.then check for the relay to click and the had to replace the oil pressure sending unit and mine started right up..the oil pressure must be about 4 lbs for the Pump tp operate...I loosened the fuel line to ck. for fuel but thats living dangerously...a pressure guage would be on the safe side......

if your car has problems starting then gas shouldnt be the problem.. maybe an alternater or starter ignition

the enginr oil pressure switch runs the fuel pump till the oil pressure is up to the normal operating range. When the pressure is up the relay kicks in and takes over the power to the pump. The oil pressure switch my be at fault if you can no hear the pump running when you turn the key on
