It may be your rear wheel speed sensor, located on top of your rear differential. if your speedometer doesn't work until you hit about 20 mph and you don't feel any resistance from the brakes then that is a good bet. it cost about 40 bucks at the parts store and takes about 5 minutes to change. and if it is that then its probably just coincidence that it went out after a brake job. my sister had hers go out on her 99 ram and like a week later mine went out. changed that and its been fine since.

How do I fix brake lights on my 2001 Dodge Ram? I have tail lights but no brake lights. I checked the fuse & its not blown.

do the signals lights work at the back if so then it sounds like you have a bad brake light switch or its out of adjustment. the brake lights and the signal lights work the same bulbs but are controlled by different circuits. the switch is located under the dash at the base of the steering colume were the brake pedal pushes against the switch.

2001 dodge ram 3500 no dashboard, running lights, backup or tail lights

Check the headlight switch. The power goes from the fuse to the headlight switch and then to the dash and running lights.

2001 dodge ram 1500. Brake lights do not work.

Do the taillights work? If so it might just be the bulb. If not then the wiring is broke some where or loose.

2001 Dodge Grand Caravan. Dash board stopped

sounds like an electrical nightmare! start by removing the cluster, now try signals are they working if yes then bad cluster, also i had a few caravans that just had bad connections i removed the plugs and reconnected them and it worked fine, also with the light coming on with your foot on the brake may be a bad or in correctly installed bulb, check all brakeand signal bulbs, try all of this , good luck, hope this is helpful.

Tail Lights stay on all the time.

under the dashboard on the drivers side. look at the brake pedal lever. there should be a switch attached. push switch in and twist to remove. then pull the button as far out as it will go. while holding brake pedal down reinstall switch. then pull pedal up to top. this will reset the brake light switch. if they stay on still, then just replace the brake light switch.

2001 dodge ram 1500 brake lights

I would guess the brake fuse ( this does not use the same fuse as the tail lights/blinkers) or the ground for the brake light bulb.
