Reversed polarity on 2000 mazda millenuim, now my car wont start

My car wont start with new battery, but the lights come on when the battery is connected reversed.

Who ever made the new battery has accidently mad eit with reversed polarity there is a way of changing this i think you just charge it with the reverse polarity minus to positive ect

If you are lucky, only the fusible link(in the fusebox in the engine bay) is blown. if you are not lucky, a whole lot of modules are blown, and this is really expensive.

Jump start reversed polarity now nothing
That sort of thing can badly damage management system, relays, melts connection, fuses. There is a fuse for the computer, check your manual. But get it diagnosed.

My wife has a Mazda tribute 02, she reversed the polarity while trying to jump her car. Now the interior lights, radio and power locks don't work. The battery also has a constant drain so I gave to jump it...
first the battery will drain if there is current draw
to check current draw with an ampmeter to battery
to find out the drain unplug fuse one at the time you will find the circuit
second the battery can hold the charge itself (crack,or short cell)
when reversed the polarity it give a good good shake

Reversed polarity on jump start. now wont go into gear or hold charge
OLder cars YEs you can jump it without a battery. But in newer cars that use computers and advanced Eltronic ignition/timing/ful injection you have to have power to the cars computer. without a good battery the car will not run.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How old is your battery? If I am having problems with starting, and my battery is getting close to 5 years, I automatically change it, as I want to have reliable starts. This usually fixes the majority of my problems. If it doesn't, I take it to the shop and have the starter checked.
