Honda CR-V Tailgate Door dripping

When lifted up in wet weather the underside of my '08 CR-V tailgate door drips on me. Not on the top side where snow/rain would naturally accumulate by where the latch/handles are so that when the door is lifted over your head splotches of water drip down on you. I've tried drying it off with a towel before fully extending the door but I'm sure there's something faulty going on.

Does the 2009 CR-V have a door jamb sensor for the tailgate? Tailgate light is on, on dash. Doors won't lock with FOB or while moving. Tailgate closes, locks and unlocks, it just thinks it's open.

Sounds like a bad switch on the tailgate. Open your tailgate and look for a switch. When you find it...press it in completely and see if the sensor light goes off. If so, replace it.

Tailgate door wont latch

IT sounds like you closed the Trunk/ Liftgate with the Latch partway closed. Lube the Latch and hopefully it is not bent. If it is not latching, you can try and ensure it is aligned propery (use a piece of Tape and see where it is hitting the STRIKER...

If not, you are going to be replacing the Latching Mechanism.

2006 cr-v My tailgate will not stay open

you can buy new dampers, they are the gas charged shock absorber looking things which hold the door open, at dealers or on ebay motors. they wear out like everything else. usually they are quite simple to replace so long as you have someone there to hold the door up when you take them off.

My electric window on the drivers side and the rear vent window do not operate. Can this be a defective master module on the drivers side door.

It is USUSALLY just the rocker switch in the door there. Water drips on it when window is open during wet weather. This causes the contacts under that switch to corrode. Those are simple an easy to replace. Pop off the inside door panel (screw under the inside door latch handle, 2 or 3 screws under the arm rest - then plastci pop screws all around the sides and bottom. these can just pull out. Then it lifts off the top ledge. turn it and you'll see the switch still attached to the panel. try cleaning - will probably need replacement.

Driver side door and tailgate leaks when it rains.not through the window but between the door and car body itself..im pretty sure its the weather strip but not sure..also, the top part of my window to my...

First chk the seals and see if there is a gap. If there is, you may have to ajust the hinges. Loosen the hinge bolts and. Do not remove them . Leave them loose enough to push the top in with the windoe down and latched. Then push the wind inward. Then carefully open the window and tighten two bolts on each hinge. Then ck the closing and alighment. If still needs more then repeat process but leave the bolts a litlle more snug so when you move it, it will stay untill you get the bolts tight. Good Luck, -Ned-

2005 Honda Odyssey Tailgate Problem

Try to reset the tailgate by removing the no.7 (7.5 amp) fuse in the underdash fuse box. Open and close the tailgate manually, reinstall the fuse, and try the open tailgate button. If that doesn't work you would have take it to the dealer, where they can check for DTC's (diagnostic trouble codes). Honda Al
