To remove the center console on a 1999 Mercedes Benz ML 320, you can follow these steps:

1. Remove the shift knob by twisting it counterclockwise and pulling it up.
2. Remove the shifter trim panel by gently prying it up with a trim removal tool or a flat-head screwdriver.
3. Remove the ashtray by pressing the release button and pulling it out.
4. Remove the screws that secure the center console to the vehicle. There should be two or four screws, depending on the vehicle's configuration. They are located at the front and rear of the console.
5. Carefully lift the console up and away from the vehicle, taking care not to damage any wiring or connectors.

Once the console is removed, you can access any components that may need servicing, such as the radio or climate control module. When reassembling the console, be sure to reattach any wiring or connectors and secure the console with the screws in their original locations.

I am assuming you are talking about the front center armrest here. You have to start by removing the back cover of the center console along with the vent louvres if equipped. I think this will expose two screws that you need to remove and the armrest will pull out. If you are trying to remove the armrest because the latching mechanism has gotten out of sync, you can fix that in the car. If that's the case let me know and I'll try to walk you through the repair process.

Remove screws under bottom edge of panel in front of climate control unit. Pull up and off. Then you should be able to remove CCU.

Sounds like your shift lockout is not disengaging when you depress the brake. I don't know about Mercedes but the general way to do it is the solenoid in the console that is actuated by depressing the brake could be bad however i believe the power supplied to the solenoid comes directly from the brake switch. Can't answer your center console question sorry.

To start just pop off the front half of the plastic engine cover. The oil filter is located up front; it's the black circle on the right-center-front.



You should loosen the oil filter with the cup wrench before you start the extractor. That will let the filter drain completely and let the oil flow more freely.

remove center console lower wood and switches, remove ash tray, remove 2 screws to remove ash tray unit. Pop off face of radio, push in plastic tabs holding radio in console and pull unit out.

Hello, To the rear of the wood grain where the switches are, you should have a small piece of carpet that you just pull up and get it out of the way. You should see 1 screw. Remove the screw and gently pull up on the back of the wood grain. Now you will be able to change the switch.

The trunk release should be located in the center console around the shifter by the window buttons. That is where it is located in my brothers '97 Mercedes C280...hope this helps, good luck
