Code are po 700 and 740....transmission. how do I fix this problem and is it expensive

PO 847 relates to transmission fluid pressure, could be several faults . fluid level, transmission oil filter, oil needs changing, converter fault oil over heating ECT.

the codes are trans codes and the trans will have to be inspected and tested to fix. it may be more than you can handle if so take it to a reputable trans shop.

Hi Juanita, I'm glad to help! P0846 is a pressure switch in side the transmission and can run into major repair, but on the other hand can be a minor repair. For instance, if they only have to replace the switch or wiring, would not be as expensive as a total transmission overhaul. There is know way to tell you how expensive it would be with first diagnosing the problem to exactly what needs to be done. Well code 731 is for a problem with first gear and code 732 is for second gear. You'll probably need a transmission shop to fix it.
You can get a shop manual and see if you want to tackle it yourself.

po700 is the code for the transmission control module. it is located in the front of the transmission. you can change it yourself

po 443= purge solenoid circuit
po 730= incorrect gear ratio, transmission problem
po 751= 1/2 solenoid problem
po 756= 2/3 solenoid problem
other 2 have no listing on alldata
you should seek professional help with these trans codes.
check ALL fuses first

P0705 = transmission range sensor, circuit malfunction (PRNDL) input.

Check the shift linkage/cable to the transmission. Check the transmission range switch/sensor.

Diagnostic trouble code P0605 indicates internal Transmission Controller fault. Needs to be replaced

P0700 - Transmission Control System Malfunction, this is a transmission or PCM issue and needs further diagnosis with other test gear.

The P1684 code simply means that the battery has been disconneted within the last 50 engine starts.
