1992 ford ranger air condition leak

I am not sure of the proper nomenclature for the union connections on vehicle air condition lines. The connection between the compressor and the condenser seams to be leaking. It loses vaccum pressure when I push on this connection and holds a vaccum when I pull on this connection. This connection looks like a housing for a diaphram with a clip. Is this something that can be repaired with a kit and if so is it very difficult to do?

Here is a picture of the connection I am talking about. Are we talking about the same thing?

SOURCE: New slave cylander, can't get hydraulic preasure.

mechanics bodge this one ,slacken bleed nipple and hold finger on end then shout to mrs to push pedal down ,you then shout hold it down ,and apply a bit of pressure on nipple and then shout up,wait 5 secs for fluid to refill in master cylinder and repeat this 6/7 times then you should have some pressure ,maybe only a little bit but it becomes easier to bleed .if this doesnt work blame mrs throw a wobbly and throw her in the pool or fishpond and buy a new master cylinder or re rubber it and repeat again but i guarentee it will work then as she will be praying so hard to allah--- the almighty one will make it happen for you

These are nothing more then standard compression fittings. You can purchase them at most any hardware or automotive parts store. Home depot even carries these types of fittings and tubing. If you are unfamiliar with these types of fittings and tubing the easiest way to get the correct size and type is to remove a section of hose for reference.
You can either replace the whole thing or repair just the damaged portion. Repairing will be easier and cheaper. However you should consider why the line failed. If it's because of wear and age you might want to consider replacing the whole thing.
If you just want to stick with the repair you should consider locating the closest end and repairing from that point. The advantage to this over a repair in the middle of the line is fewer fittings. However if the ends are hard to get to stick with the replacement of the bad section. It should be just a couple unions and a new piece of tubing.
Good luck!

Yes, stop by the parts store and you can buy them there. BE PREPARED for fuel to come out, it is under pressure...Will be okay after released, just be ready. TAPE closed all lines to keep out dirt.

It sounds as though air is finding its way into your fuel system, somehow. Air can be drawn in anywhere there is a union/connection/joint.

You may be correct about the fuel filter's quick release clamps being the cause of the problem, but do check the rest of the fuel line too.

Why is my 1998 ford ranger ac not cold

Likely, you are low on refrigerant. Judging from your question, I will assume that you are unfamiliar with air conditioning systems, and recommend that you take the vehicle to a certified repair garage for service.

Chevy s-10 repair problems

You must be careful if you are going to cut and use a union with flaring tool to repair that you make sure the repair when tightened is straight or it will leak and if it leaks well you know the rest, you must aquire a heavy tubing cutter a union after measuring the tube and a flaring tool this may be more expensive than just replacing the kinked hose these systems are under high pressure between 30-40 psi so a simple rubber hose with a hose clamp will not hold the pressure don't waste your time with that. Jack up the vehicle support with jack stands and follow the steel hose to see where it conects to the steel fuel hose that goes along the floor of the vehicle hopefully there is a place to unscrew stock unoin and replace the line or remove to repaire with said flaring tool and coupler.

PS follow the instructions of flaring to the letter or leak may result, as always wear safety glasses gasoline in the eyes really sucks.

Rear air suspension isnt working.

IF YOU HEAR COMPRESSOR TURNING ON THATS GOOD. THE MOSE COMMON PROBLEM IS BEHIND BATTERY THERE IS A PLASTIC LINE WITH A UNION TO CONNECT THEM,THE UNION BREAKS AND BAGS WILL NOT INFLATE IN REAR. YOU CAN GET UNION AT A DEALERSHIP AND SIMPLE TO INSTALL THE LINES BACK TOGETHER,MAYBE ALSO A LEAK AT THE BAGS IF IT INFLATES AND SINKS AFTER SITTING A WHILE. WITHOUT MORE INFO THATS WHAT I HAVE TO OFFER.

Check your local library for a Chiltons or Haynes repair manual or spend the $20 for one at a parts store. There are repair manuals on-line, but mostly for older vehicles.
