Hi, the reverse light doesn't work on Escape 2010 XLT Automatic trans. I changed 1 blown fuse under the hood,(bulb ok) and checked every fuse 1 by 1. Under the hood box and passenger side fuse box. They are all good. Someone tell me than it could be the Backup Light Switches. Is it possible? If so where EXACTLY it is, and what it look like on a Escape 2010? All informations will be appreciated.
I haven't worked on an escape, but i can tell you that switch is on the transmission.
Testimonial: "Thank you for you answer, but for me the transmission or the motor, or even the alternator is the same thing. I tough it would be easy to find lol. Anyway, i found the solution tonight. It was the fuse, even if i had changed them before, it seem than it was only that. My mecanic say so.. and charge me 1$ lol thank you for your time"
SOURCE: i dont have my owners manual for my 2004 ford f150
You can download a copy of it from :
https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenance/owners_manuals/default.asp
This is a pdf version.
If you want a paper copy, sure the auction sites would have some listed, or you can get a new one from helm inc.
SOURCE: turn head lights on every light works except low beams
thare is a high beam relay and a low beam relay in the fuse box find the low beam relay and replace it. if this dont work its probabley the switch
SOURCE: Dash lights and taillights out fuses all ok
In battery junction box or the under hood fuse panel check fuse no 11(15amp),it will be at the center of the fuse box where there is 4 fuse slots but looks like only 3 fuses, if this fuse in good then you will see a relay that is shaped kinda like a cross. This is the parklamp relay which also powers the dash lights.
SOURCE: Non-working tail lights
Tail light bulbs used are double element one is tail one is turn check your bulbs and, make sure the lamps for your turnsignal have two pins and, are a different number than your other lamps
SOURCE: Reverse lights will not come on,fuse nor lights are blown
The switch is inside of the transmission. i'm sorry, but that one isn't an easy fix.
Regards,
matt
