2000 Lincoln navigator blend door/actuator not enough movement

2000 Lincoln navigator- blend door issue. The blend door is not getting the full range of motion. It is only getting about 10 degrees in either direction. It is not clicking and the motor seems strong judging by how forcefully the door moves. Could this be a calibration issue? If so what is the fix? Does the actuator need to be replaced?

The door hinge could actually be broken. The door and hinge are all plastic. When you remove the lower console you can actually feel if the door is loose. There is an aftermarket replacement with metal hinges that works great. Normally you have to remove the entire dash to replace or fix it, but the aftermarket one has you go through the glovebox and cut a hole in the duct to reove the old door and replace it with the new one. (You epoxy the cutout back in to seal it - it's out of side and is totally airtight.) I recommend looking into that.

SOURCE: constant high heat

on climate control press off and heat button and let go quickly. Then press automatic. The display will start rotating eventually displaying a code 025,125 , 024 etc. Then press defrost to stop. You may hear blend door operating atb that time. It worked for my climate control.

The blend door motor might be turning, but the plastic gears often strip in the actuator so the door does NOT actually move. Very common to need to replace the blend door actuator.

2000 Lincoln Navigator - blend door/actuator issue. I can't figure out what the issue is here. The blend door is not getting the full range of motion to fully change from a/c to heat. Instead of the 60 (or...

The plastic blend door warps from heat and this causes it to jam/bind up and not have full freedom of movement through it entire range of motion, the solution is to pull the dash assembly out and replace the blend door and the blend door actuator.

Air conditioner blowing hot air

Blowing hot air when set to A/C is almost always a stuck blend door, dead blend door actuator, or a cracked or disconnected blend door actuator vacuum line. The blend door is inside the a/c ducting under the dash, but the actuator will be accessible outside the ducting.
