Flassed less engine power wth????????? Flashed reduced engine power ! Electronic throttle control problem ! Your best bet ,take it to a GM dealer , buick , cadillac , GMC . You do not have diagnostic test equipment or knowledge to even diagnose this.

SOURCE: 1999 Cadillac Catera - 103,000 miles - cranks but no fire

Hello carol...from the symptons you describe more than likely it's the CPS (crankshaft position sensor.)
The CPS is a common problem on Cateras with these symptoms.
The sensor is a magnetic impulse type that sends a signal to the computer, the computer then triggers the fire signal. When the CPS gets weak, dirty or has low voltage the intermitten no starts occur. It will finally result in a no start at all...Please be aware that a lot of caddy dealers will and have overcharged customers for this common problem by ill advise and replaceing uneeded componets.
Good luck...i hope this helps and will fixya up.

SOURCE: 1997 s-10 sames to get vapor lock

Change your fuel filter, it may have gone it's life time and is getting to dirty to let fuel flow properly. Your fuel pump to may be getting weak, if the fuel filter is dirty the pump works harder and heats up and could be over heating the fuel pump relay too. The fuel pump relay i believe is in the glove box behind a panel that say relay, there should be (3) in there and the middle one is the fuel pump's. switch then around after you change the fuel filter and if you get a chance, check your fuel pressure at the shredder valve. Good luck and hope this help's if there is a Auto Zone around you, you can ask to use the fuel pressure gauge to see what fuel pressure you have and they'll have the step by step instructions on how to do it and takes about 5 min to do and will have the fuel filter and step by step to replace that too. Keep me posted, be glad to help.

SOURCE: Engine turns over, won't start, no fire at plugs

What are you wondering is correct. Let check the coil first. if coil is good the there is a problem with the ignition module. If the ignition module is good then a problem with the crankshaft sensor. The coil can be checked by measure resistance of the terminals of the primary coil and secondary coil separately to see if it open. To check if it can generate a spark, once you identify the primary coil terminal, run 12 V wire to these terminal, connect a spark plug to the secondary coil, by just leaving a spark plug with connected with spark plug wire and let it touch the engine chassis. Now you have to make pulses at the 12 volts connection by making a break and connection several time to turn it on and off to generate the spark at spark plug. The ignition module is supposed to do what you are doing now to generate the spark. If it is bad, it can't do what you did then a spark is not generated. For the crankshaft sensor, only the shop can tell you it is bad or not. Good luck.

SOURCE: car loses power when driving, stops starts and is

no what is most likely happening is a fuel filter ...it is getting full after running a few minutes and by turning it off it backflushes and is clear enough to run again till it clogs up again

SOURCE: i have a 1990bmw 325i. i turned the car off one

im not 100% sure if this vehicle has onebut some cars have a neutral safety switch. My jeep had one go bad. If you shut it off, it wouldnt start back up, you had to wait about 45 minutes. Sometime it would start it placed in neutral.

Turns over wont start plenty of gas

I would check the fuel relay and see if it has a good connection. Chances are it doesn't just pull the relay out and put it back in and wiggle it around a little bit. That will tell you if your fuel relay has a bad connection.

I have a 2006 Pontiac GT G6 Coup. When we first bought it back in Nov. 2010, it was fine. After a month or two, the clock would reset almost everytime the car was started, radio stations would NOT get...

sounds like a problem with the ignition barrel.the wiring is loose or the connectors are loose or the barrel is faulty, unless thse are all run from the onboard computer.
